Chapter 1

Into Minecraft

Jason got on his computer very excitedly. He was finally home from school and was ready to play Minecraft. He knew about the strange events and rumors about Gameknight999. He heard about the near crash. He was on Minecraft at the time. The ground had started to glow as white electricity ran across the ground. He was on a popular server, so he looked around and saw all the users in the area looking around at the glowing blocks.

But that time was finally over, or so he hoped. The mobs were now unorganized and would not attack. He got onto a private server he had made for him and his friends to record a Survival series on for YouTube. He was trying to work harder and get more subscribers. He got onto the server and started working on some mining. The team was running low on diamonds and he needed to get some. On the last recording he said he would.

Soon the others started to get on. He first saw his best friends of the team, miner_the_NPC, or Miner, and CakeyLP, or Cakey. But eventually TriggerFinger got on. They decided not to skype because they wanted to do a diamond hunting competition for fun. Jason, AKA WolfDude55 managed to get 20 diamonds. Lucky day.

His father was an inventor, like Gameknight999’s, according to what he heard. He was working on a project similar to the digitizer, created by Gameknight999’s father, Monkeypants_271. He was inspired by Jason’s stories of Gameknight999 and wanted to recreate the invention, since he didn’t believe in them. He didn’t understand that WolfDude was in the Battle for the Source. Jason knew it was real. He’s been there.

Later, Jason’s father ran upstairs. “I made a breakthrough!” He shouted. “Come quick!”

My dad made a “breakthrough”. WolfDude typed in chat. I’ll be back. He got off the server and walked calmly downstairs. “What is it now, Dad,” Jason sighed. His father made “breakthroughs” before. They never worked.

“I think i finally made it so you can get into Mineworld or whatever.” he said.

Minecraft,” Jason corrected.

“Yah, yah,” his dad replied. “Allow me to show you.” He grabbed a sheet on a machine and ripped it off. “The Minitizer 3000, or the Digitizer 2.0.” Jason rolled his eyes. “Can’t wait to try it,” Jason said sarcastically. His dad went to his test computer, which had Minecraft opened on singleplayer. “Let me show you.” He pressed a button on the Minitizer and closed his eyes. The Minitizer glowed white and shot a beam at his dad. Soon his dad’s body was gone along with the light. The screen started moving on its own and eventually Jason realized that it was his dad controlling it from inside Minecraft. Huh. Jason thought. It actually worked. Soon, the digitizer 2.0 glowed again, until his dad stood there again. “And you can exit whenever you want.” He said, stumbling. “It makes you dizzy when you leave though. It goes away in a minute.”

“Ok well im going back upstairs to play more Minecraft.” Jason said. “I have no interest in entering right now.” When he got to his computer, he got back on the server. His “digitizer 2.0” actually works. He typed once he checked if the others were on. All three were. Cool! Miner replied. The others are getting on soon. Jason sighed. Skype? Appeared in chat as he realized his sister, TheWolvesHowl528, had gotten on. Sure. he replied. He called their skype group chat. Everyone answered after a minute.

“What’s up?” TriggerFinger said.

“Not much.” Jason replied. “Tomorrow’s my birthday, so yay.” Jason continued. “Maybe we can try my dad’s new ‘digitizer 2.0’ then. He got it working, and claimed as I left that more than one person can go in at a time. Like 10.”

“Cool!”, Airagalaxy22 said. “I’m going to get on Minecraft now.” she said. Once everyone was on, they gathered minerals like crazy. Jason couldn’t help but feel a strange feeling brewing on the server. Everyone mined in silence. Mobs were nowhere to be found. He felt a presence and it wasn’t a comfortable one.

Soon, it was the next day. Everyone was at Jason’s house preparing a “lan party”. They were going downstairs to their many computers and were going to play some Minecraft. They were going to set up a new world for some contests. Everyone got on, but soon, noises grew louder and louder. Soon, Jason couldn’t stand it. He looked behind him and saw his father’s Minitizer glowing. “Uh oh.” He said. “I don’t think this is good.”

“What’s wrong?” Daniel (TriggerFinger) asked, looking back. “Oh.” He said when he saw the Minitizer.

“BRACE YOURSELVES!” Jason proclaimed as a beam hit every single person in the room. Jason felt a shock go up his body. He closed his eyes and prepared for what might happen. Everything went black.

He woke up lying in some grass. Soon he realized it wasn’t normal grass. It was blocky. He looked around and saw a bunch of usernames. TriggerFinger, TheWolvesHowl528, miner_the_NPC, Triquillus_Luna, CakeyLP, happyfeet65978, and Auragalaxy22. WolfDude55 felt the grass around him. It was all so realistic. Everything was so realistic. They spawned in some plains with a forest and a dessert nearby. A snowy forest, a tundra, was on the other side of the dessert and a jungle between the forest and tundra. WolfDude looked as the others started to sit up, holding their heads. “Uugh,” said Miner. “What happened?”

“I believe we are in the game.” WolfDude responded. “Inside Minecraft itself, like Gameknight999.” His companions looked around in shock at the real details of Minecraft. Everything felt so alive. “We should get moving before it becomes night.” WolfDude stated as he stood up. “Let’s go use the forest and start a house. We should be able to make one before night.” The others nodded and started walking to the forest, preparing for the physical labor it contained. WolfDude pounded on the logs as they quickly broke. He made a crafting bench and shouted “Crafting bench here!”

Soon, the walls were made. It was large so it could fit all of them. They were working on the roof when WolfDude felt a surge within himself. “I’m going to go get more wood” he lied. He walked into the woods.

Darkness.

Chapter 2

The Land of Dreams

WolfDude55 heard leaves in the distance. He saw a mist of unknown origin. He seemed to be where he was, but it was dark and very misty. He walked through the unknown land. The mist seemed to continue forever. He blinked and saw his house. He was in the basement and the Minitizer was glowing. He went upstairs only to hear machinery downstairs.

He went back into the basement as the Glow of the Minitizer continued to glow. He hid in the corner when suddenly zombies and skeletons started appearing out of nowhere. He wished he had his modified sword from Minecraft that he always made. He looked in his hand to find the unbreakable enchanted golden sword in his hand. He knew what he had to do.

He jumped out of the corner and stabbed a zombie in the torso. He spun as an arrow flew by his face and took down the shooter. Spiders crawled on the wall and soon endermen started to appear. One, in a blood dark red, came through the abyss of the Minitizer. It looked at WolfDude as he fought the mobs in attempt to keep them out of the rest of the house. WolfDude whipped out his beloved bow and shot into the mob army, killing many. Soon the red enderman had enough. He shrieked into the basement and teleported to WolfDude. He gripped the back of his neck, in the pressure point, and teleported outside.

“I have waited for you for a long time.” the enderman said. All WolfDude could do was gasp for air. “I am Phobetor, the newest enderman king. You will die, user-that-is-not-a-user.” All WolfDude could do was close his eyes and gasp.

Darkness once again.

WolfDude jumped to a start. Miner was shaking him, trying to make him conscious. “Ugh. What happened?” WolfDude asked Miner.

“You fell asleep or something.” CakeyLP replied behind Miner. “It’s been a few hours. It will be dark soon.”

“The weirdest thing just happened.” WolfDude said, standing up. “I don’t know what it was, but you guys remember Erebus right?” Miner and Ty nodded. “Well another enderman that looked similar to him attacked me in my dream.” He gripped the back of his neck and noticed that is was sore, and felt like the attack. “He called himself ‘Photebor’, new king of the endermen. He called me a ‘user-that-is-not-a-user’ and when the dream began to fade, he said ‘We will meet again here, in the Land of Dreams’.” WolfDude groaned. “I feel like it was real.”

The trio entered the house. WolfDude walked in and sat in one of the newly made beds. Miner told his story to the others as the roof was finished. WolfDude looked out the window and saw and enderman in the distance, watching the house. WolfDude saw it for a split second before it disappeared. I’m just paranoid. He thought, reassuring himself. He noticed it was getting dark and he wanted to go to sleep. He refused to go to sleep now. He was on watch. Soon, Aira sat in the bed next to him.

“Are you ok?” Airagalaxy asked. She looked at WolfDude in worry.

“Yah. I’m fine. Just keeping an eye out for mobs.” he replied.

“Just remember that we’re here for you. We’re safe in here, so you should get some sleep.” Aira said. WolfDude knew she was right, but he was too paranoid. He nodded as she went to her bed. He lied down and felt himself doze off.

The mist of the Land of Dreams swirled around him. WolfDude looked around and saw the house. He looked as red eyes seemed to run in a blur in the forest. Suddenly, a figure appeared before him. WolfDude jumped.

This was no ordinary figure, nor was it Herobrine. The creature looked like the new Alex skin set, but with blood-red eyes. Maybe it was Herobrine’s preticessor? WolfDude slowly backed up as the demon-like creature walked towards him. Soon, WolfDude was backed against the house. The demonic creature grabbed him by the throat and said one word. “Thanks.” The voice made WolfDude tremble. It sounded like multiple voices at once. The sound wasn’t very pleasant.

WolfDude closed his eyes and repeated in his head: wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up! He began to feel himself awakening. He continued. Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, WAKE UP! He felt himself struggling to wake up, but nothing worked. He couldn’t wake up.

The creature looked up and smiled at him. “Thanks,” it said again. “I can feel your struggle. You cannot escape me. I am inside you, for now.” The creature faded away, laughing a laugh similar to Herobrine’s. Was this a Herobrine 2.0 or something? WolfDude thought. Did I create it? What about the enderman king? Did that…thing… remake him? The questions tumbled around his head as he got more and more scared. This was from his nightmares. He tried to understand, but all he got was more confused. He saw a group of creepers walking to the house. These were in the real world. He needed to wake up.

WolfDude jumped up with a start. He looked out the window and saw the creepers approaching faster. He woke up the others as he pointed out the window, saying “creepers incoming!” Everyone grabbed their stone tools. WolfDude wished he had his bow. He knew they needed to go mining soon, but now wasn’t the time. He went outside and stood before the creepers. He knew that the creeper king, Oxus, was basically a pacifist now so he thought this must be a rogue team, making them easier to take care of.

The creepers charged as WolfDude and the others were getting ready for battle. He pointed his sword at the creepers. They continued to surge forward. Before the creepers could reach the users, they all exploded simultaneously. WolfDude just looked at them in shock. He’s never seen creepers blow up before they reached their target before. This was very odd.

The group walked back into the house. WolfDude knew what to do at this point. “Welp, since we have nothing better to do and since we need it,” he said. “Let’s go mining. We still need iron for combat.” The others nodded their heads. “I saw a cave nearby. We go in pairs. I’ll go with Miner, Aira you go with happyfeet, TriggerFinger you go with Luna, and Ty go with TheWolvesHowl. Find all the materials you can. Bring some wood so that you can make torches or crafting tables if necessary.” The pairs began to gather materials as WolfDude met with Miner, who was grabbing wood. WolfDude grabbed the pickaxes.

Chapter 3

Exploration

Miner and WolfDude walked down the cave. They had gone a different way than the others and found a separate cave. Miner searched and placed torches while WolfDude covered their backs. They had found a spider dungeon, giving them a spider farm to get string for bows. They already had one for each of them, plus 12 more for the others in their own time.

The cave seemed to go on forever. Luckily they found lots of iron and already each had an iron pick just incase they found diamonds or gold. They also made iron swords incase more mobs came. They came up to a room with a lit cavern. Lava was lighting the area.

“Lava leads a likelihood of diamonds.” WolfDude said. They mined around the lava in hopes of spotting diamonds inside the walls. They managed to find a few, and some gold for WolfDude’s sword. He also got some diamonds for another sword so he can dual-wield. That was WolfDude’s prefered fight style.

WolfDude decided not to grab the gold sword yet. He would be tempted to use it, but it’s not unbreakable. At least not yet. WolfDude thought. He worked hard on the diamond sword. Soon, he found something. Designing swords? Impossible for Minecraft. WolfDude walked over to miner, who had a diamond pickaxe and a sword. WolfDude got an idea. “Let me see those.” WolfDude said. Miner gave him both tools and WolfDude used the crafting table. He made them one weapon and made it smoother.

“How’d you do that?” Miner asked. WolfDude shrugged. He had no idea. “I don’t know,” WolfDude finally said. He chuckled. “Now you can be like the character in your poems and personal storyline.” Miner shrugged back. “I guess I can.” he replied, sarcastically.

The duo finally stopped mining and went back to the house. WolfDude looked at what was once a wood box and now a mansion. Somebody was busy here, he thought. He went inside and found separate rooms for each person. He looked in his room and found a crafting bench, a furnace, and series of chests. He walked out of his room and met up with Miner. “What was in your room, Miner?” WolfDude asked

“The basics.” Miner replied.

“Same.” WolfDude said, trying to continue the conversation. They had been very quiet to each other the whole time. Before Miner could respond, Ty and TheWolvesHowl arrived at the house. Soon after, so did Aira and happyfeet. Then Luna and TriggerFinger. Everyone looked at their rooms, surprised.

After they all met up, they talked for a good while, starting with the house. No one had built it. Then they listed what they got. WolfDude and Miner got the most. Full diamond armor for everyone, except WolfDude. Everyone got bows and arrows, even though some of them were better than others. WolfDude was an expert in both. At least now they were ready for war. That would likely come.

Everyone woke up and went outside. They met up and decided on a move. They explore, and maybe find some villages. They walked for days before finding a village. This village did not have walls yet. This was peculiar. Maybe it was a server that had not yet knows about the mob armies from back at the Battle of the Source and all of Gameknight999’s times fighting armies of mobs. The group of users walked into the village. NPCs gasped as they saw no server threads on the group as the users walked to the center of the village. They got to the watch tower and stood at the entrance as NPCs gathered around, gasping and mumbling to each other.

“Where is your Crafter?” WolfDude finally said. The NPCs gasped and looked around nervously. They didn’t know that users knew about the secret lives of the NPCs. Interesting. WolfDude thought. He turned to his companions. “I don’t think these guys know about the years of war between Gameknight and Herobrine.” He whispered. He turned back to see an old NPC moving through the crowd. He was wearing a white smock with a black stripe. A Crafter’s smock.

The Crafter got to the front of the crowd and looked at the users. He gulped as he began to speak. “What is it you want?” The Crafter said. WolfDude looked at the poor villager, who was trembling in more than one way. He was old and he was scared for his village.

“We come in peace.” WolfDude said. He heard a loud sigh of relief as all the villagers began to relax. “I’m sure you all know of Gameknight999?” The villagers shook their heads. WolfDude sighed. “It’s a long story, but it looks like you NPCs are going to need to be prepared. There are more mob kings sought on the destruction of all of you, and you need to be ready for war. I am WolfDude. I was at the Battle of the Source as Gameknight999 defeated the first mob king, Erebus. It was a true war. NPCs died. Users fell. However myself and my two main friends, Miner and Ty, were all in that battle and made it through the whole thing. Now it is your time to be ready. This is the only server i know that does not know about Gameknight999 or anything that happened. There are ways to get you villagers to separate your arms. Just destroy a crafting bench while the other person is crafting. We need to do our own planning. Build a wall around your village and make archer towers around. We may return to see progress.”

The villagers were still confused, and WolfDude could tell. “Just go!” he shouted before jumping into the watch tower with his friends. “These guys are going to need help if they are going to survive. The mob army Photebor is likely making will destroy them without defences. They do not have a reason to fight yet.” WolfDude said. “In the meantime, we should make a training ground for these guys. Anyone got sticks and smooth stone?” Aira handed him some. “Ok I’m going to make some dummies out of armor stands for them to hit for practice, but keep some for us to practice with ourselves.”

After making the training ground and starting the wall, WolfDude made sure there was a sign saying “Do not underestimate the younglings,” and the group left. WolfDude took the lead with the others following in a V formation. This formation was scientifically proven to save energy. WolfDude thought. At least, in the air. The team continued until they reached a jungle. They waded through the tangled mess of trees and bushes. By the time they got out, the group, except WolfDude, was tired. They decided to set up camp there.

WolfDude lied on the ground near the fire. He felt like he was being watched more and more. Eventually he sat up and looked around at the jungle and plains, separated by a river. WolfDude sighed and almost lay back down when he saw some purple eyes in the distance. He looked at the eyes, not directly, until they realized that WolfDude was looking at the possible enderman. When the eyes disappeared, WolfDude concluded that they were being spied on by Endermen. He lay down and slept, but did not enter the Land of Dreams.

Chapter 4

Through Time

WolfDude woke and looked at the spot where the enderman was. Instead of an enderman, he saw a random splash of color. The colors quickly disappeared in the brush. What could that have been? WolfDude wondered. The group packed up and continued walking South, WolfDude watching in every direction. Eventually Miner came up. He was in the spot behind him

“What’s got you so worried?” Miner asked. WolfDude looked blankly ahead.

“I saw something last night.” WolfDude said. “An enderman was watching us. But when I looked in the same spot this morning, I saw nothing but some random colors that disappeared in the bushes.”

Miner just stared at WolfDude. He was nearly open-mouthed. Suddenly a noise disturbed them. WolfDude looked in the direction of the sound and saw nothing. “What was that?” Airagalaxy said. WolfDude held up his hand in signal to not move as he crept forward. He stared into the forest and found nothing there.

“I don’t see anything.” WolfDude said. He backed out of the forest, only to feel in his mind something trying to drag him back in. WolfDude ignored the sensation and walked back to the group. The group continued forward on full alert.

The group eventually ended up near a village. But there was something with this village. No one was there and the village seemed old and run down. The only thing WolfDude could think of was to go to the Crafting Chamber under the watch tower.

WolfDude broke the block that was supposedly where the crafting chamber should be. All WolfDude found was a dirt block. He dug more and more until he could not dig anymore. The crafting chamber was not there.

WolfDude came out of the hole to find no one. The others were gone. He looked out the window to see if they were standing guard, but what WolfDude saw was a major surprise. Villagers. NPC’s going around. But there was something wrong with them. They seemed ghostly.

WolfDude walked out of the watch tower. When he got to the well, what he saw astonished him. Gameknight999 himself standing there, also ghostly. He was standing below the well, with a villager almost preaching to him. WolfDude recognized this scene from the stories he read about Gameknight. This was when Gameknight first came into minecraft. But that was in the past. WolfDude thought. Unless i somehow went throu- WolfDude could not finish the thought. He knew what had happened. He went through some sort of time vortex.

WolfDude didn’t see Hunter anywhere. WolfDude knew that he hadn’t met Hunter yet. Hunter came from the next server on the server plane. WolfDude had always wanted to see Hunter. Unfortunately, WolfDude had more on his mind.

WolfDude walked out of the village, running to the woods. He dodged trees as he ran. He didn’t know what he was looking for to find the time vortex out, but he knew that something had to appear somewhere.

Suddenly, he felt himself flying sideways, a pain in his hip. He slumped to the ground against a tree and looked up to find a pair of glowing white eyes and red eyes staring at him. The new virus charged at WolfDude. WolfDude rolled to the right, standing up. He kicked down the virus before it could recover. WolfDude knew Herobrine was still there at this time period and had seen Herobrine before the other virus attacked. WolfDude knew he was outmatched, since he didn’t have his golden sword, known as the Soul Blade. Therefor, WolfDude ran.

WolfDude searched his inventory after he ran a distance. Finding an iron sword, he pulled it out, holding it in his right hand. He turned and saw something white coming at him. Clash! WolfDude barely blocked Herobrine’s iron sword as it came for his face. He rolled to the left, dodging another attack, and stood at Herobrine’s side. He backed up to prepare for another attack, and saw the two viruses standing next to each other.

Then it hit him like a stone slamming into his forehead. A copy, WolfDude thought. This so called “new” virus is a copy of Herobrine. A Herobrine 2.0. WolfDude chose to ran as he thought. How can it be? A last stand? A final resort? WolfDude determined that Herobrine, to save himself, copied his code and created a new virus with more powers. WolfDude just ran.

One he believed he was finally safe, WolfDude slowed to a walk. He ate some bread as he walked out of the forest into a tundra. WolfDude knew from Gameknight999’s stories that this tundra would be burned and glassed by the blazes that Herobrine modified. He looked at the place and thought about the glassing. He could only imagine how bad it was. It was such a beautiful area. Who could do a thing like this?

Herobrine would. WolfDude thought, stopping his mesmerized thoughts. He knew he had to get back to his friends. How? He had to think of something before Herobrine and the other virus attacked again. The village! That has a time vortex! WolfDude facepalmed. Why didn’t he think of that before? He ran to through the forest back to the village.

He heard the sound of pigs and cows nearby and the movement of many people. WolfDude didn’t think about the sounds. What he was interested in was the music of Minecraft. The music was peaceful, yet strained. The Oracle herself was worried. WolfDude didn’t know the Oracle personally like Gameknight did. WolfDude relied on the music of Minecraft to understand the Oracle’s worry.

WolfDude thought about the virus. He wanted to give it a name. How about Demonbrine? WolfDude thought. The virus had dark red eyes and was in an alex skin rather than a steve. Demonbrine was the only name WolfDude could think of. It seemed to suit the virus.

WolfDude finally arrived back at the village. He got to the entrance of the crafting chamber and climbed down the ladder. Climbing back up, WolfDude found himself in the same village. He was not where he wanted to be.

WolfDude was stuck.

Chapter 5

Kidnappers

WolfDude walked out of the watch tower, alone. He looked in the village and saw the villagers preparing to leave, just like the sounds from before. He looked to the right and saw Gameknight giving instructions next to him. WolfDude sighed. This must be how Gameknight feels all the time. WolfDude thought. I’m willing to bet that he is almost always stressed in situations like this.

WolfDude looked out into the distance of the land. He could see where the tundra would be. As he looked, he began to see a flicker in the light. The land seemed to wave in the sky. WolfDude looked carefully at the waver. Those must be time vortexes. WolfDude thought. He looked carefully at the vortex and saw something falling out of the sky. Aira? WolfDude thought. When he focused on the object, he saw Airagalaxy falling out of the sky. She’s going to land in the tundra! WolfDude thought, moving into a sprint.

WolfDude ran to the tundra as fast as he could. He ran track one year in school and got second place on his one and only 1500 meter race, so WolfDude had no trouble jogging at a normally sprinting pace. However, WolfDude was sprinting. He arrived at the tundra and saw Airagalaxy being held up over the shoulder by Demonbrine.

WolfDude’s hand shot out in attempt to meet Aira’s, who was extending hers. WolfDude nearly got there when Herobrine stepped in. WolfDude swung his blade and nearly hit Herobrine in the head. Herobrine lifted his sword and swung at WolfDude, where his blade would meet Herobrine’s. WolfDude kicked Herobrine in the stomach and brought his hilt on Herobrine’s head. Herobrine fell. When WolfDude looked up, Demonbrine was gone. No. WolfDude thought in rage. He kicked Herobrine off his hands and knees out of frustration.

Then he felt himself falling.

WolfDude looked up as he fell. The world seemed to turn and waver as he fell. WolfDude closed his eyes so he wouldn’t be nauseous. He felt himself turning, even though he knew he wasn’t.

He finally opened his eyes and saw the blue sky above him. He saw green trees and the green grass of Minecraft all around him. WolfDude heard a loud ringing and felt more tired than ever before. His vision blurred as he looked to his left. He saw three figures running to him.

“WolfDude!” he heard echo through his mind.

“Is he alive?” another voice said.

“Yes. He wouldn’t be here if he wasn’t remember? This is Minecraft!” a third voice replied.

“Oh yeah. I forgot.”

“He doesn’t look good. I think he got in a fight.” The first voice said.

“Let’s get him to-” The voices echoed away as WolfDude fell into unconsciousness.

Miner looked at TriggerFinger in worry. “He’s unconscious.” TriggerFinger said. Miner just moved his gaze to WolfDude and stared at him.

“Do you think he saw Airagalaxy?” TheWolvesHowl replied.

“Maybe.” TriggerFinger replied.

“We better get to a cave. He needs to rest. It’s hot out here.” Miner said sternly. TriggerFinger just looked at Miner in shock. Miner was still staring at WolfDude.

“OK then.” TheWolvesHowl, also known as Ace, said. TriggerFinger looked at TheWolvesHowl and shrugged. Miner lifted WolfDude off the ground in his arms.

They walked only a few blocks before finding a cave on the other side of the hill they were next to. TheWolvesHowl sighed at the sight of it. “There was one right there?” she said, slightly agitated. Miner just ignored the comment and took WolfDude into the cave and sealed it off, with the others inside.

Miner sat next to WolfDude and sighed. TheWolvesHowl and TriggerFinger exchanged glances as Miner closed his eyes and rested next to Miner. “I guess we all should get some rest.” TriggerFinger said.

“Agreed.” TheWolvesHowl replied. TheWolvesHowl sat against the wall and closed her eyes. TriggerFinger took watch in case any zombies came.

WolfDude looked through the darkness. He couldn’t see anyone around. WolfDude sighed. He had no idea where he was. All he could see was darkness. The Music of Minecraft slowly began to fade into his head. WolfDude felt soothed by the presence of the music. But as he listened to the music, the more he noticed the strain within the music. And through the darkness, WolfDude saw a light.

Suddenly, a voice echoed through the darkness. It was an old woman’s voice.  WolfDude guessed the voice was the Oracle’s voice.

“WolfDude.” The voice said. “Your friends are in peril. You will need more power to save them.”

“I don’t understand!” WolfDude said loudly. His voice echoed faintly as an image appeared before him. It was Luna, Aira, Happy, and Ty stuck in a cage. Demonbrine and Photebor came up next to the cage. Demonbrine touched the cage. Everyone flew to the other side with a shock of electricity. Aira just got back up and stood tall. Demonbrine hit them again. WolfDude couldn’t watch anymore.

“It’s time for your. . . modifications.” The voice said. WolfDude looked up as a yellow beam came through the darkness onto his body. WolfDude screamed out in pain as his Minecraft genetic code was reorganized within himself. He felt stronger somehow as the beam of energy and light faded. WolfDude knew what he had to do.

“You’ll find how to use your abilities soon. And just in time.” The voice said. WolfDude collapsed on the ground, falling into unconsciousness.

Chapter 6

A New Creation

WolfDude55 awoke in a cave. WolfDude looked at his hands, then around the cave. He had no idea where this cave was. WolfDude moved his gaze to his hands. He knew what he was supposed to do, but he didn’t know how to do it.

Suddenly, the wind was knocked out of his chest. WolfDude looked up. TheWolvesHowl was sitting on him proudly. “Ace, not now.” WolfDude said. “Where are we?”

“In a cave.” Miner replied, entering the cave. “We’re in some plains. We’re trying to get to a stronghold so that we can try to find the virus and maybe the others.”

“So let me get this strait.” WolfDude said. “The others were captured, so we’re the only one left so we are trying to get into the end to hopefully find them.”

“That’s correct.” TriggerFinger said after entering the cave.

“Sounds like a plan to me.” WolfDude said. “I know for a fact that they are all in the end. What i believe was the Oracle showed me.” Everyone looked intently as WolfDude continued. “When all of us, except you guys obviously, ‘disappeared’, we went through what i consider a time vortex in a way. It leads to when Gameknight999 first entered Minecraft a while ago. I believe that the virus we currently face is a copy of Herobrine. I believe that Herobrine duplicated himself as a last resort, as all viruses likely do. I decided to call this virus ‘Demonbrine.’ It is able to create time vortexes and travel through time. We have to get to the End as fast as possible.”

“Agreed.” Miner said. “We need to get to the Nether and restock our blaze rod supply. We’re out of Ender Eyes.”

“What do you think Demonbrine is doing to the others?” TheWolvesHowl asked, looking at WolfDude.

“I can’t answer that completely, but I do know that Demonbrine is hitting them with electricity. Airagalaxy is always the first up. She never seems to surrender.” WolfDude said. Well right now, we need to get working on going to the Nether. WolfDude gathered everyone into a huddle as he quietly explained his plan.

Down within the depths of the cave, WolfDude walked. He had nothing on him except his armor, a pickaxe, a bit of gold, diamonds, and a water bucket. He still needed obsidian and iron.

A deep voice had told WolfDude just before the ‘Oracle’ talked to him that he needed these materials for something special. There was another recipe for Miner that WolfDude delivered. Both of them had left while the other two gathered obsidian. They had to make their weapons alone.

WolfDude still needed one obsidian and 2 iron for the crafting recipe. The recipe required one obsidian, two gold, two diamonds, and two iron. Finally finding some iron and lava source blocks, WolfDude dumped the water and mined the iron. Quickly smelting the iron, WolfDude moved to the obsidian. He mined one of the pieces as fast as he could, which wasn’t very fast, knowing obsidian.

When WolfDude finally collected the obsidian, he grabbed his iron and went into a freshly made crafting bench. Putting the obsidian and gold in a sword pattern with the two diamonds on top and the iron underneath that, WolfDude finally created his special weapon.

The Soul Blade.

WolfDude lifted the sword and smiled. The gold sword had an abnormal blue crystal in the hand guard. WolfDude practiced a few swings. “Ahh now this is a lot more comfortable. WolfDude looked around and suddenly realized where he was. He was, according to the description Gameknight would give, at the entrance of a zombie town. Looking at the entrance, he heard a few zombies approaching. Breaking his crafting table and furnace, WolfDude prepared for battle. He spun his blade and moved into his battle position, extending his arm and angling his sword in the same direction, located next to his head.

Finally a group of zombies entered the cavern. The leader, obviously a general in his gold armor, jumped at the sight of WolfDude. The zombie, without hesitating, ordered the attack. WolfDude waited calmly and patiently as the group of crawled forward. When they finally got within reach, WolfDude attacked. Sliding into the first two zombies, WolfDude attacked left and right, killing each zombie quickly with his sword with the unbreakable command on it.

Moving to the zombie right in front of him, WolfDude attacked the hip, then the shoulder, and the head. The zombie was unable to withstand the attack. The final zombie, the general, equiped his own gold sword. Dodging his sword, WolfDude attacked to the left, but the zombie deflected it. Ducking underneath the zombie’s sword, WolfDude tried again. The zombie deflected again.

What is this zombie? WolfDude thought. Come on man! He attacked multiple times in rapid succession. The general blocked every attack. I’ve had enough of this. WolfDude thought. Spinning over the zombie’s shoulder, he backstabbed the zombie, finding flesh and killing it instantly. At least I now have the Soul Blade. WolfDude thought. This sword one shots almost anything.

WolfDude heard moans coming from behind him, in the zombie town, and they were getting louder. WolfDude began to run up the cave entrance when an enderman teleported into his path, Blocking WolfDude. WolfDude dodged the enderman, being careful not to attack it in any way so it didn’t become enraged. WolfDude continued up the cave and ran as fast as he could to the rendezvous point.

WolfDude entered the encampment cave with great haste. He found the other three inside.

“Where have you been?” TheWolvesHowl asked.

“I may or may not have run into some trouble.” WolfDude replied. “And by that I mean I have a whole zombie town behind me, along with endermen.”

“Lovely.” Miner said sarcastically.

“The portal is ready.” TriggerFinger reported.

“Block off the entrance with dirt.” WolfDude said. “We gotta throw them off our trail.”

“Good idea.” Miner said. Everyone quickly worked on the entrance, encasing themselves in the darkness.

“Ok now that that’s settled,” WolfDude stated. “Let’s get into the nether and farm us some blazes.”

“Agreed.” TheWolvesHowl said, gleefully. TriggerFinger opened up a separate cavern by mining some blocks. Inside was a 5x5x5 room with the nether portal inside.

“Good.” WolfDude said. “Let’s go.” He said as he walked into the portal along with all of his friends.

What they didn’t notice was an enderman in the corner of the cave, watching them.

Chapter 7

Demonbrine

“So you say that those users call me ‘Demonbrine’?” The virus asked an unsettled enderman, who had told Demonbrine the news. “Seems fitting.” Demonbrine continued. Demonbrine walked past the enderman, pushing it out of the way. The enderman quickly teleported around, allowing it some well deserved HP.

The End was darker than normal, thanks to Demonbrine’s presence. Demonbrine loved it. The darkness, however, had another role. It made the endermen stronger and made it so that they didn’t have to be attacked to be enraged. The Ender Dragon roared loudly above the creatures in the end.

Demonbrine walked over to a small area with dozens of endermen around. Pushing through the endermen, Demonbrine stared into a cage. The cage had two users in it, Airagalaxy22 and Happyfeet65978. The others, Triquillus_Luna and CakeyLP, were somewhere else in the End. Soon, Photebor teleported next to Demonbrine.

“How goes the transformations?” Demonbrine asked Photebor.

“They are resilient, however one has successfully been converted.” Photebor reported. “However, the process is slow, therefore allowing them to resist the transformation easier. The first user was not strong, but the second one is.”

“Good.” Demonbrine said. “I will deal with the power problem. You keep an eye on the other user. We need all of them ready before the rest of the users get here, which they undoubtedly will.”

“Yes, Master.” Photebor said, teleporting away. Demonbrine turned back to the users in the cage.

“You’ll never win!” The user named Airagalaxy22 said.

“Oh yes I will, once I’m done with you.” Demonbrine said.

“No you won’t!” the other user shouted back. “WolfDude55 is way more powerful than you think!” Demonbrine laughed.

“Oh, I’m sure.” Demonbrine said, touching the bars. Sending an electric shock through the bars, the users flew to the back of the cage. Airagalaxy stood up quickly and helped up Happyfeet. Aira then turned to Demonbrine, with a look of determination on her face.

“You should be ashamed as well.” Airagalaxy said. “You steal all but one of the girls of the group and hide in the End? The coward’s way out, I feel.”

Getting tired of the users, Demonbrine sent another shock through the bars and teleported to the top of one of the obsidian pillars. Looking down, Demonbrine saw the user named Triquillus_Luna running through the area, trying to escape. Quickly, Photebor grabbed the user and brought her HP down so that she couldn’t fight back.

Demonbrine teleported to Photebor after he put the user back to the examination table. “Let me see the first user converted.” Demonbrine said.

“Yes, Master.” Photebor said, taking Demonbrine to the edge of the land of the end. Before them was a large obsidian platform, hidden in the darkness. Photebor quickly stepped onto the platform, because only Demonbrine’s presence allowed it to not harm any creature, so that no enderman could see what they were doing.

When they reached the end of the bridge, an obsidian ring stretching around the island came into view. Demonbrine smiled at the creation. No creature was safe from this obsidian except Photebor, Demonbrine, and the converted users.

Finally making it onto the ring, Demonbrine and Photebor walked around to the opposite side of the ring. There, was the final user. Ironically, the only male user they took was also the fasted to convert. All the others resisted and they only had the energy to convert one at a time.

“This user didn’t put up as much of a resistance that the rest.” Photebor said.

“Explain.” Demonbrine ordered.

“This user seems to be some sort of rebel to the rest of the group.” Photebor explained. “He is a happy, go-lucky guy and doesn’t seem to like to listen to his superiors very well. As a result, when we took him for transformation, he saw it as a joke.”

“Good.” Demonbrine said. “Anything else?”

“Yes.” Photebor replied. “You need to finish the process. He is not completed yet.” Demonbrine stared at the user. The user’s skin tone was abnormally pale. Focusing on its crafting powers, Demonbrine buried its hands into the user’s chest. The user bounced up for a second as Demonbrine fused parts of the crafting into the user.

When Demonbrine was finished, Demonbrine backed off and looked at it’s creation. The user’s skin tone was deathly pale with a black hue to it.

Demonbrine laughed at the evil of the creation. The user rose and opened its eyes. The user’s eyes were dead black with no pupils.

“What is your wish, Master?” CakeyLP said.

Demonbrine told the converted user to stay on the obsidian ring as it and Photebor teleported back onto the island. Demonbrine teleported to the top of an obsidian tower and turned to the end crystal that lies on top of every tower. Demonbrine’s hands began to glow a blood red all the way until it came to Demonbrine’s elbows. As soon as it did, Demonbrine plunged it’s hands into the end crystal. Moving its hands around, the virus changed the code in the crystal. When Demonbrine was done, the crystal became blood red. Demonbrine moved its hands, still glowing, outward. The crystal shot a beam out and hit the rest of the crystals. Every crystal began to turn from a light purple color to a blood red. The plan was set.

“This will begin to bring the Maker back as well.” Demonbrine said, letting out a loud, maniacal laugh so dark that the fabric of Minecraft shriveled in fear.

Chapter 8

Into the Nether

Finally, WolfDude stepped out of the portal. He instantly began to sweat as the heat of the Nether picked at his skin. Looking around, he saw the netherrack that spawned in the Nether. All the others were already building the portal walls so that no ghast would destroy the portal.

When everyone was finished, Miner set off separately to finish off his special weapon, the Mob Wrecker. When he returned, the companions left to find a nether fortress, leaving a piece of stone to mark the way.

When they found the fortress, they found the secret entrance made by NPCs who secretly enter the Nether and make the ladder. Climbing up, WolfDude scanned the area. Once everyone was up and the area was clear, the companions moved on, putting cobblestone on the right side so that they knew where they were going. They found a blaze spawner after taking a left, then going straight. The spawner was exposed, hanging over the side of the fortress and suspended over the lava ocean.

“Watch for mobs.” Miner said on the way. Then it clicked.

“Where have all the mobs been?” WolfDude asked.

“What do you mean?” TheWolvesHowl replied.

“Where are all the mobs?” WolfDude repeated. “The only mobs we faced were small squads and lots of endermen. The zombies of the zombie town were not actually seen.”

“That’s a very good point.” TriggerFinger said.

“It’s totally a trap.” WolfDude continued. “They want us to go to the end for something. The question is what?”

“Well all we can do right now is practice.” Miner said. “And we can do that by just slaughtering those blazes.”

“Don’t say it like that.” WolfDude said. “I hate it when people talk about slaughtering defenceless creatures, even if they can fight back.”

“I wonder what they’re doing to the others.” Miner said.

“I hope they don’t betray us in some way.” TriggerFinger said.

“Don’t say that.” WolfDude said. “Remember what Monkeypants 271 would say on Gameknight999’s server ‘focus on the now not the what if’s’. Just focus on getting these blaze rods.

The group finally came across the blaze spawner they were walking to. Once they got enough blaze rods, the companions turned them to blaze powder and combined them with ender pearls, creating ender eyes. The dragon-like eyes seemed to stare into the depths of WolfDude’s soul.

Just as they were preparing to leave, WolfDude detected the sounds of skeletons. He quickly destroyed the blaze spawner so that they wouldn’t get flanked.

“What was that for?” Miner asked, slightly annoyed.

“Listen.” WolfDude replied. “Skeletons and wither skeletons. I didn’t want us to get flanked.”

“Good thinking.” TriggerFinger said. WolfDude heard the music of Minecraft flow into his mind. WolfDude relaxed a bit, as did the others, but they soon noticed the straining in the music. WolfDude grew worried.

Looking around the corner, WolfDude saw a whole army of about fifty to a hundred. There was no way they could win. Not with their current gear. WolfDude built a    small cobblestone staircase to the top of the fortress. Without looking back, WolfDude moved up and began to run.

Once he thought he was behind the army, WolfDude finally looked back. Only Miner followed him. The others likely didn’t see them. “Did you see the others?” WolfDude said. Miner shrugged. WolfDude motion Miner closer. Digging the block down below, WolfDude jumped in and looked at the hostile army. He was definitely behind them. He saw to faint black boxes on the other side of the army.

“Huh.” WolfDude whispered. “Accidental flank anyone?”

“Move in?” Miner suggested.

“Agreed.” WolfDude replied. Silently, WolfDude and Miner snuck up to the army. Using his fingers, WolfDude counted down. 3. Miner got his Mob Wrecker out. 2. WolfDude grabbed the Soul Blade. 1. They both got in position to run.

“GO!!!” WolfDude yelled at the top of his lungs, startling the mobs directly in front of him. Miner and WolfDude charged into the army. Attacking left and right, WolfDude swung his blade, killing any mob that his blade touched.

When they finally got through, Miner and WolfDude skidded to a stop. WolfDude saw TriggerFinger and TheWolvesHowl perfectly fine, and saw the two username boxes separate from their bodies. WolfDude realized that the username boxes didn’t belong to the two companions.

“Disciple1776 and Zeke_Eromli!” WolfDude exclaimed.

“Oh hey.” Zeke said. “Where’d you come from?”

“The other side of the army.” Miner said.

“No time for reunions.” Disciple said. “They’re attacking!” WolfDude turned to face the attacking army. At the back was a wither skeleton slightly larger than the rest. WolfDude realized that that skeleton was a king.

“And who is this king?” WolfDude said, loudly.

“I am Kratos!” The wither skeleton king replied. “And you will perish!”

“I think not.” WolfDude shouted in response as he ordered his companions to attack.

Bones and swords clashed as the group of users smashed into the mob army. WolfDude stabbed the nearest skeleton, then performed his signature move: sweep under the legs and stab it out of the air. WolfDude moved to the next skeleton, then the next. “This is no challenge.” WolfDude said.

WolfDude finally watched the mobs begin to hesitate to attack him, since they knew it was suicide. WolfDude laughed. “Your mobs are afraid of me, Kratos.” WolfDude said. “You-” He paused to kill a challenger. “You can never defeat me!” Kratos, noticing his mistake, decided to call a retreat. WolfDude laughed.

WolfDude stopped laughing when he saw tons of endermen teleporting in. Each enderman grabbed a creature and teleported away, except one pair. That pair was Photebor and Kratos. “Tell Demonbrine that we aren’t afraid of him and we will rescue our friends.”

“Oh, I think you may have more trouble with that than you may think.” Photebor replied. “You will not win.” Photebor grabbed a hold of Kratos and teleported away.

“Well not what that’s over.” WolfDude said. “Let’s get out of here.”

“Gladly.” TriggerFinger said. As they walked, WolfDude began to worry. What did Photebor mean? He thought. Can I protect the others? Questions tumbled around through his head, until he said No more! WolfDude remembered what Monkeypants would say. Focus on the now, not the what ifs. The dark cloud of worry began to push from his mind. I just have to remember to focus on the now! WolfDude and the others finally reached the portal. Everyone left, WolfDude walking through last.

A loneliness surrounded him before he left.

Chapter 9

To The Stronghold

Stepping out of the portal, WolfDude continued to feel lonelier and lonelier. Even being around most of his friends, a loneliness crept on WolfDude like a cloud of uncertainty. There was only one thing WolfDude could think of to try to stop the loneliness.

Connect.

WolfDude looked at the scenery just outside of the cave. The trees were flapping their leaves in the wind like clothes on a clothes line. A sheep could be heard in the distance. WolfDude walked forward, dragging his hand in the tall grass. WolfDude stopped just in front of the forest.

“Why must there be war?” WolfDude mumbled.

“What?” Miner asked.

“Why must war exist?” He sat down, crossing his legs. Closing his eyes, WolfDude concentrated. He heard a mystical music around him. WolfDude allowed his emotions to run free as he tried to reach his spirit animal guide.

A beautiful scene wrapped around WolfDude. The scene had a misty fog around it, similar to the Land of Dreams without the silver effect to it. The mist allowed for expansion depending on what WolfDude wanted to see. WolfDude lie in the grass, staring into the sky. Finally sitting up, WolfDude looked beyond to the his left. WolfDude saw some nice, round trees in the distance. That’s where he wanted to go.

Standing up, WolfDude walked to the treeline. The line was thin, with a beach on the other side. WolfDude heard the waves crashing onto the sandy shore. WolfDude sat just beyond the trees in the sand. He heard a rustling behind him. He didn’t flinch. He knew who it was.

WolfDude finally turned, looking at his guide. The large grey wolf form the guide most commonly took had deep yellow eyes. Its fur flowed majestically in the wind. The eyes, as WolfDude knew, were filled with wisdom.

“Can I do it?” WolfDude asked his guide. “Can I rescue my friends in time? Can I save Minecraft?”

“You must believe.” The guide, named Morpheus, replied in his deep voice. “Not just in yourself, but also in your friends. They have abilities too, and you should appreciate that.”

“But how do i know they won’t betray me?” WolfDude said.

“If your friends betray you, it will likely not be on purpose.” Morpheus said. “True friends are there for you, and would assist you no matter what.”

“But how can I protect them?” WolfDude asked.

“The true question is, how can they protect you?” Morpheus said. “Your friends are there for you. As long as they are at your side, you will not falter.”

“But I am considered their leader.” WolfDude said. “It’s my job to get them out safe.”

“That is not the point.” Morpheus said, its deep voice continuing to fill WolfDude with knowledge. “Only time itself can decide the future, but you can predict the future by using your brain and figuring out what to do. You can do it. Just try. Now go back to your friends. They need you.”

“Thanks, Morpheus.” WolfDude said as he re-entered the land of Minecraft.

Back within Minecraft, WolfDude looked at the trees in front of him. WolfDude then looked in the distance behind the tree line and saw something peculiar. He saw tons of red spots along with eight purple. WolfDude already knew what they were.

“Spiders.” WolfDude said. “Get ready.” WolfDude slowly stood up and equipped his Soul Blade. Lifting the sword into the air, a light shone like a flashlight into the forest. The light was coming from the blue crystal on the Soul Blade, which reflected light. WolfDude saw hundreds of spiders, and considering the five of them, they would perish easily and quickly. Mandibles clicked wildly as the spiders were blinded by the light.

“Run.” WolfDude said. Turning, WolfDude sheathed his sword and ran forward. “Let’s go! Come on!” WolfDude shouted back as his friends followed him. WolfDude ran a little slow, since he was faster than the others. He heard his companions’ footsteps behind him and a swarm of spiders even further away.

WolfDude realized that they were running in the plains, making them easy targets. “Move into the forest!” WolfDude shouted, veering right. Once in the forest, WolfDude dodged trees and leaves as he ran, hearing the mobs behind them. Suddenly, a fallen tree was spotted by WolfDude. “Behind that tree!” WolfDude shouted, continuing to move right. Hiding behind the log, WolfDude dug down, encasing all the others in a hole and covered it up. A classic Minecraft maneuver.

WolfDude knew that those purple eyes meant there was a new spider queen as well. Hearing all the spiders trample overhead, WolfDude ordered a slight expansion of the hole. When the footsteps stopped, Miner motioned for WolfDude to come to him. Looking through, WolfDude saw a staircase leading down into the depths of Minecraft.

“Let’s follow this and see where it leads.” WolfDude said, starting his descent. When he reached the bottom, what WolfDude found shocked him.

“Guys… You may want to see this.” WolfDude shouted up the cavern. As his friends started to appear, gasps of shock came amongst the group.

They were next to the end portal in a stronghold.

WolfDude saw a double chest in the corner. On his way, WolfDude noticed the silverfish spawner was already broken. When WolfDude got to the double chest, he saw full Protection V diamond armor and a lot of weapons. Each object had Unbreakable on it. They all had bows with every enchant, and all but two had diamond swords with every enchant. There was a total of 6 rows of gear in the chest. Next to it was a single chest with enough gear to give to the rest of the team.

“Well then.” WolfDude said. “Someone, or something, has given us everything we could ever ask for.” WolfDude handed out the gear. “We’ll need two people grab gear for the others.” WolfDude said.

“I will.” TheWolvesHowl said.

“Me too.” TriggerFinger said.

“Ok so here’s the plan.” WolfDude started, explaining to his companions what they were going to do once they entered the end. When he finished, everyone stood proudly.

“I guess we’re closer than we thought.” TheWolvesHowl said. Everyone laughed.

“You’re right, Ace.” WolfDude said. Miner handed WolfDude the ender eyes they had left. Nine. WolfDude thought. Perfect. Climbing up the steps, WolfDude carefully placed each eye in each frame.

“You ladies ready to go?” WolfDude said, almost like a drill sergeant in the army or a really bossy coach in sports.

“You know we are.” TriggerFinger replied.

“Well let’s get going!” WolfDude said. Before jumping in, WolfDude looked at his team. Miner_the_NPC, TheWolvesHowl528, TriggerFinger, Zeke_Eromli, and Disciple1776. WolfDude’s companions. WolfDude’s friends. WolfDude smiled. “We can save Minecraft if this goes well. Remember the plan once we encounter the hostile mobs.”

WolfDude jumped in the portal, his friends close behind.

Darkness.

Chapter 10

Herobrine’s Return

WolfDude felt himself land on the 3×3 obsidian platform spawn point in the end. Slowly, his companions appeared behind him. Instantly, they used cobblestone to build across to the mainland.

Soon, the Ender Dragon spotted them. WolfDude heard it roar as it did when it was coming in for an attack. Looking in the abnormally dark area, WolfDude saw two purple eyes coming straight at him. “Hit the deck!” WolfDude said, trying not to make their presence known. WolfDude dived on the cobblestone just in time. The dragon swooped up the blocks he was just standing on.

“That was close.” WolfDude said. Continuing with the bridge, the Ender Dragon only attacked once more. They quickly completed the bridge. As they arrived on the mainland, all the mobs that were there teleported away with the endermen to some unknown area.

“What is this?” WolfDude said quietly.

“Strange.” Zeke said. “We should explore. You know, gather our surroundings.”

“Good idea, Zeke.” WolfDude said. Moving to the right, They started with the outskirts of the island. Eventually, they found something. A crater in the middle of nowhere on the island.

“What was this?” TheWolvesHowl asked. WolfDude looked at the surroundings.

“This was where the others’ cages were.” WolfDude said once he recognized the area.

“Why would there be a crater here?” Miner asked.

“Who knows.” Zeke said, “but let’s keep looking. There has to be more here than just a crater.” Moving on, the squad moved closer to the center of the island.

“What is this here?”  Miner said in the distance. Everyone moved to his side to what seemed like some sort of table.

“Maybe an examination table of some sort.” Disciple said.

“I agree.” WolfDude said. “I didn’t see this, but it is way too close to the description of an examination table.” The dragon roared above, making WolfDude jump. Noticing the dragon was too high to make an attack run, he relaxed.

Suddenly he felt a pulling sensation in his head. WolfDude noticed just then that the area was lighter since Demonbrine was gone. He saw a darker object in the distance, where his brain was pushing him. Running to the dark object, WolfDude recognized it as obsidian.

“What is it?” Miner asked when he finally caught up to WolfDude.

“An obsidian path.” WolfDude said.

“Ah, no there isn’t.” TriggerFinger said.

“Yeah I don’t see anything.” Miner commented.

“Well then I’ll show you.” WolfDude said. Turning, he attempted to step onto the obsidian. Turning back, he saw Miner pulling him back.

“Stop.” WolfDude said. “I’ll be fine.”

“No you won’t.” Miner replied. “You’d fall.”

“Trust me.” WolfDude said, smiling. Stepping on the obsidian, he felt his foot land on the dark cold rock. As WolfDude brought his other foot onto the obsidian, a shock sent him flying about ten meters back. All of WolfDude’s friends came rushing towards him.

“Are you ok?” Disciple said.

“Yeah.” WolfDude replied. “I’m fine.”

“What the heck was that?” Miner said.

“I have no idea.” WolfDude replied. Suddenly, it clicked to WolfDude. “Do you guys here that?” WolfDude said. An eerie silence surrounded the users.

“I don’t hear anything.” TriggerFinger finally said.

“Exactly.” WolfDude said. “Something’s up. The ender dragon isn’t making any noise.”

“That’s a good point.” Miner said. WolfDude looked to his left. In the distance, he saw the ender dragon, collapsed on the ground.

“Over there!” WolfDude said. Running to the ender dragon, he stopped a few meters away. Miner started to creep forward, but WolfDude held out his arm. “I’ll check it out.” WolfDude whispered to the others. Creeping forward, WolfDude approached the dragon. When he arrived, WolfDude held out his arm and touched the dragon. The dragon moved, but gave little resistance. WolfDude dragged his hand up to the neck of the dragon.

When WolfDude reached the head, WolfDude looked at the dragon carefully. Its eyes were faded, almost a grey-purple color. The dragon gave a faint, weak roar. WolfDude noticed the purple effects in its mouth were completely gone. Looking up, the dragon looked at the top of one of the pillars. Taking a look, WolfDude saw the ender crystals in a dark red color.

“I’ll figure out what happened.” WolfDude said. “And I’ll stop it.” Running back to his friends, WolfDude was going to report the news, but out of the corner of his eye, WolfDude saw Zeke equipping his sword.

“What are you doing, Zeke?” WolfDude said.

“Aren’t we going to kill it?” Zeke replied.

“NO!” WolfDude snapped. “Do you have any care for creatures? I already despise the genocide of endermen that used to take on Gameknight999’s server until they got the new world!” The others backed off, looking at WolfDude in shock. “We are not killing that dragon. It’s clearly scared enough as it is. It’s just not right to kill defenceless creatures, even if it was a videogame. I know it seems hypocritical since we were farming blazes a few hours ago, but still! If i have to, I can solve this mystery myself!”

A few seconds went by. Everything felt as if the world was moving in slow motion. Eventually, Miner walked forward, standing behind WolfDude. Following his example, all the others, except Zeke, stood behind WolfDude. After an intense staredown, Zeke finally walked up behind WolfDude.

“Good.” WolfDude said. “Now what I’ve gathered so far is that the ender appears to be losing energy. When it looked up, I saw an end crystal, but it was blood red. We should start there first. Let’s go to that one.” WolfDude said, pointing at a pillar. “Surround it with water while I climb up to check it out.” Everyone nodded and got to work.

Building straight up, WolfDude climbed the tower. When he reached the top, he looked closely at the crystal. It was a deep blood red with some strange symbols coming off it. A few flowed into WolfDude. What WolfDude didn’t notice was the new knowledge he now had.

Looking closer at the crystal, WolfDude wondered more and more what would happen if he broke it. Equipping the Soul Blade, WolfDude yelled a warning down below. “I’m going to see what happens when I try to break it!.” He shouted. Striking the crystal, the only thing that happened was a shock wave. More and more shockwaves came from the crystal, along with an ear piercing wine. Eventually, holding his ears, WolfDude fell off the obsidian pillar into the water below.

Soon the wine began to fade. WolfDude looked up and saw a figure standing on top of the pillar. The crystal remained unbroken as the figure stood there. When the figure opened its eyes, WolfDude instantly recognized it.

“What happened?” Miner said, standing up.

“I don’t know?” TriggerFinger said. WolfDude stared at where the figure was before it had teleported away. WolfDude knew all too well the white eyes the figure produced.

“Herobrine is back.”

Chapter 11

The Gameknight999 Server Network

“What?” Miner said.

“Herobrine is back.” WolfDude repeated. WolfDude looked back where the dragon was supposed to be. It was gone. Moving his gaze, WolfDude noticed that the end portal was activated.

WolfDude sighed. “Looks like the ender dragon is dead.” WolfDude said. “I’m guessing Demonbrine used the ender dragon to bring Herobrine back. In the meantime, let’s get out of here.” Standing up, WolfDude walked over to the portal. The others stood around him. The almost infinite abyss like effect made WolfDude feel queasy.

“Let’s go.” He said, jumping.

WolfDude awoke somewhere that he recognized, but not on that world. Looking back, WolfDude saw something all too familiar.

His house on Gameknight999’s server.

Slowly, WolfDude saw his friends materialize around him. “There’s no way.” He said quietly to himself. WolfDude’s companions rose off their backs and onto their feet.

“Where are we?” Miner said.

“Apparently, we’re on Gameknight999’s server.” WolfDude replied. Slowly, WolfDude saw an image appear in his mind. Hello WolfDude, it said. WolfDude had a feeling this had to be chat. He tried to imagine himself typing.

Who is this? WolfDude responded.

It’s me. The user typed back. Monet113.

Oh, hi Monet. WolfDude typed. Me and my friends need some help. Moving to the /msg command, WolfDude explained the situation. Herobrine is back. Me and my friends, like Gameknight, are trapped in Minecraft, and Herobrine is on this server along with his new minions, Photebor and Demonbrine (a copy of Herobrine but worse). I’ll explain more later.

That sounds bad. Monet replied.

It is. Is Gameknight or Monkeypants available right now? WolfDude typed.

No. Monet replied. Unfortunately, they are working on the digitizer. However, when I report this to them, this may change plans.

Alright. WolfDude typed. I’ll see if I can find Herobrine’s army. WolfDude turned to his friends, who were already nodding. They saw the chat as well.

“What are we waiting for?” WolfDude finally said. “We got to get going.” WolfDude led the team forward.

Soon, WolfDude found something in the grass. “Footsteps.” WolfDude said. “And a lot of them. They’re going this way!” WolfDude pointed to the northwest, towards Gameknightville.

“They’re trying to get to Gameknightville!” Miner said.

“We better catch up to them.” TheWolvesHowl replied. The group moved to a sprint (more of a run to WolfDude), following the army. WolfDude moved ahead to scout.

Quickly, the team found Herobrine’s army. They saw cage with Airagalaxy, Happyfeet, and Luna in them, but there was no sign of Cakey. Aira spotted WolfDude, but WolfDude signaled for her to be quiet. WolfDude hand-signaled his companions to move out of the bushes. He watched as Herobrine’s army moved down a hill, about to rise to another.

“HEY!” WolfDude shouted at the top of his lungs. “OVER HERE!” The whole army turned and faced WolfDude and his friends, who were posed in a V formation. They each had a stance. WolfDude was angled slightly to the left with his right foot just in front of the left. He had his sword out, pointed at the army.

We may need backup. WolfDude messaged to Monet. We are just southeast of Gameknightville.

On my way. Monet replied. WolfDude looked at Herobrine, Demonbrine, and Photebor, who had all teleported to the top of the next hill along with Kratos and the new spider queen.

“Well, well, well.” Herobrine said. “If it isn’t the fools who revived me.”

“Well, well, well, if it isn’t the horrible creature that no one likes who decided to use a whole ender dragon to revive himself.” WolfDude said with a silly grin on his face. Herobrine moved as if he had been hit by a spear, but stood straight again. WolfDude laughed.

WolfDude moved his gaze into the army as he saw a figure move through the masses. When the figure emerged, WolfDude was shocked. Herobrine took his turn to laugh.

It was Cakey.

Cakey had a dark hue to his skin, but his skin was a milky color. His eyes were dead black with no pupils. Cakey smiled the most demented smile WolfDude had ever seen. “Remember the plan guys.” WolfDude said. “Watch out for Cakey. We don’t want to hurt him.”

“Right.” Miner replied. Everyone moved into a line, organized into their roles. WolfDude thought about the ancient Chinese document “The Art of War” by Sun Tzu. He remembered one of the teachings it taught. If there is no retreat, warriors will begin to fight out of pure survival, making them fight stronger and harder, and victorious.

“Remember guys, there’s no retreat.” WolfDude said. “We can win this!” All the endermen became enraged as the zombies, skeletons, and spiders made their maddening sounds.

The user team charged.

Disciple1776 and Zeke fired their bows into the army as WolfDude, Miner, TriggerFinger, and TheWolvesHowl ran straight in, charging for the cage. Miner and WolfDude attacked all the mobs they encountered, guarding TriggerFinger and TheWolvesHowl. When they reached the cage, Miner broke open the cage with the pickaxe side of the Mob Wrecker. TriggerFinger and TheWolvesHowl gave Aira, Happyfeet, and Luna all the gear they needed and everything extra.

“Move out of the cage!” WolfDude shouted as a creeper tried to blow it up. Diving into the grass, WolfDude watched as the organized offensive became chaos. All the users fought with all their strength and tried to avoid Cakey at all times. WolfDude quickly learned that Cakey was mostly targeting WolfDude, so he ran.

WolfDude didn’t run away from anything, however. He ran straight for Herobrine, Demonbrine, and all the mob kings. Demonbrine intercepted WolfDude, as WolfDude planned. WolfDude rolled to the right and attacked, landing a blow that would normally kill any mob thanks to the Soul Blade, however Demonbrine only flashed red. Demonbrine grabbed the golden blade and punched WolfDude square in the nose. Rolling back, WolfDude quickly recovered and attacked again. Dodging another attack, WolfDude was tackled by Cakey. WolfDude realized that Cakey was going to be an issue.

Running to Miner, WolfDude worked out a plan. “Miner!” WolfDude screamed. “Run to the clearing! I want you to restrain Cakey!” Miner nodded and followed WolfDude to the clearing. WolfDude slid out of the mass of mobs, with Miner and Cakey following. Miner quickly turned and grabbed a hold of Cakey while WolfDude tried his best to defend.

But they were quickly swarmed.

WolfDude realized quickly that this was a bad idea as Miner began to take damage. Soon, a bright light began to resonate from Miner’s area. The light quickly blinded WolfDude, and eventually all the mobs and users around.

When the light faded, WolfDude saw all the mobs around Miner dead, along with a pile of items. They were all Miner’s items. WolfDude pounded the grass, tears flowing through his eyes. “NO!” WolfDude shouted as he felt a new strength within his muscles. “NO!” He screamed again. WolfDude opened his eyes to reveal a deep yellow color glowing from them. “YOU’LL ALL PAY!” WolfDude shouted, running straight at Demonbrine. “STARTING WITH YOU!”

WolfDude slammed into Demonbrine with a new force. Cakey tried to defend Demonbrine, to no effect. WolfDude pounded on Demonbrine constantly. Demonbrine, realizing his mistake, tried to teleport away. WolfDude teleported with Demonbrine and continued to pound.

Demonbrine finally got WolfDude off for a moment as a few figures came over the hill behind Herobrine and the mob kings. The sunset was behind the figures, causing all of them to be faded a deep black color. “ATTACK!” WolfDude heard as a Monet113, Garrettron, Snoopygirl11, Pracso, Crafter5342, and about thirteen other users charged down the hill. WolfDude recognized some of them, including kittymittens2014, Demontus, and UnknownNovaKid. WolfDude took advantage of the distraction and continued to fight. He slammed into Demonbrine again without plans of letting up He stabbed Demonbrine without giving him time to recover. Demonbrine struggled to get up.

When Demonbrine’s health was low, WolfDude leaned down. “I’m tired of you.” WolfDude said. “I’m tired of your Alex skin. I’m tired of your red eyes. I’m tired of your actions. I’M TIRED OF YOU!” WolfDude stabbed Demonbrine in the face.

Demonbrine disappeared with a pop.

WolfDude turned and saw Herobrine standing there. WolfDude knew that Herobrine knew the fight was hopeless. As all the users backed up into the open, the two armies ended up in a stand off again. WolfDude and Monet stood at the front of the formation with all the users behind them, ready to fight.

“You’ll never win, Herobrine!” WolfDude shouted. “You hear me!? NEVER!!!”

“As long as we have eachother,” Monet continued. “We will be victorious!” Herobrine grunted. Photebor grabbed the spider queen and Kratos and teleported away.

“This isn’t over, WolfDude!” Herobrine shouted. “I’ll be back!” WolfDude watched Herobrine teleport away and the mob army scatter. The users cheered, except WolfDude. WolfDude walked over to Miner’s pile of items. A few meters to the left was Cakey, with his normal skin tone and now dark hue to him.

Monet appeared behind WolfDude, putting a hand on his shoulder. “I’d check on Cakey.” Monet whispered. “He’s definitely not dead.” WolfDude walked over to Cakey after picking up all of Miner’s items. Looking down, WolfDude saw Cakey open his eyes. They were normal again.

Helping Cakey up, WolfDude smiled. “What happened?” Cakey said. WolfDude forced Cakey into a strong hug given by WolfDude. Letting go, WolfDude turned to Monet.

“Monet.” WolfDude said. “If i get out, tell Gameknight and Monkeypants to get on. I’ll need to talk to all of you about what happened.”

“Alright.” Monet replied. WolfDude looked back and saw a 3×3 hole in the ground.

“I believe that is our exit.” WolfDude said that. “How I know that, I have no idea. Monet if you see me get back on, make sure Gameknight and Monkeypants are on.” A single tear flowed down WolfDude’s cheek. Monet put a hand on WolfDude’s shoulder.

“It will all be ok.” Monet said. “Your friends are there for you.” WolfDude wiped the tear from his cheek. All he could think about was Miner. He’s gone. WolfDude thought. What happened to him?

“Thanks.” WolfDude said. “I’ll remember that.” Turning, WolfDude followed his friends, who were, reluctantly, falling into the hole. WolfDude turned, saluted to everyone he was leaving behind, and fell backwards perfectly stiff, hand still in salute.

Darkness.

Chapter 12

The End…?

WolfDude fell from the sky and landed on TriggerFinger. “Get off me!” TriggerFinger said.

“Calm thyself, child.” WolfDude replied, standing.

“Is that your new catchphrase?” Airagalaxy said.

“Yes.” WolfDude said sarcastically. “Definitely.” Everyone laughed. WolfDude looked into the forest back at spawn of their survival world as the moment passed. He saw a figure standing in the trees. The silhouette had glowing white eyes before teleporting into the night. Herobrine. WolfDude thought.

“I wonder where Miner is.” Cakey said. Everyone grew silent. “What?” Cakey said. WolfDude walked to the trees.

“BOO!”

“AHH!” WolfDude screamed as Miner turned the corner of a tree. Everybody laughed. WolfDude held his chest to his heart pounding as hard as it can.

“Why, Miner? WHY?” WolfDude said. Miner continued to laugh.

“Because it’s funny.” Miner finally said.

“I thought you were dead.” WolfDude said, pulling Miner into a hug. “What happened?”

“Well something grabbed me as all of my items dropped.” Miner said. “It felt like it had claws. Then I woke up here and saw you slowly walking over here and saw my chance.”

“That may have been whoever’s been helping us.” TriggerFinger said.

“Maybe.” WolfDude replied. “But right now, we need to figure out how to get out of here.”

“How?” Miner said.

Hey. WolfDude saw in chat. Need help?

Dad? WolfDude typed back.

You know it.

We’re stuck. WolfDude typed. We didn’t activate the Minitizer and then it fried.

So I saw. His father replied. I fixed it, but at the moment I’m only taking one at a time. The Minitizer obviously needs tweaks.

Yeah. WolfDude typed in responce.

Activating now. WolfDude watched as all his companions left Minecraft, except Zeke and Disciple, who were logging out normally. WolfDude was the last to leave, but before he did, he heard a voice.

“You are the Guardians of Minecraft.” The voice said. “This group and Gameknight’s. You all will be requested when needed in your own ways. Goodbye for now.”

WolfDude transported into the physical world.

Jason opened his eyes in his basement. “Welcome back.” His father said.

“I have to do something real quick.” Jason said. Running upstairs, WolfDude went to his computer. All his companions followed him. His dad shrugged and got back to work on the Minitizer.

“What are you doing?” Mason said.

“Keeping a promise.” Jason replied.

“What is this promise?” Mason said.

“I’m going on the Gameknight999 server network to report the news.” Logging into Gameknight’s server, Jason went to the survival world. When he entered, Jason held the tab button. He saw Monkeypants_271, Gameknight999, and Monet113 online. Good. Jason thought.

WolfDude. Jason saw in chat. It was Gameknight.

Yeah. Jason replied.

I heard that you claim Herobrine is back. Gameknight typed.

He sure is. Jason said. It’s a long story, so I’ll try to make it nice and short. My father decided to make the Minitizer, a digitizer 2.0, because he didn’t believe in your stories. Me and my squad were ‘kidnapped’ by Minecraft and we tried to get out, and watched Herobrine return. Then he teleported to this server with his new minions, and when we  left the End, we ended up here, on this server. Money and some others helped us defeat Herobrine. Before my squad left Minecraft, I saw Herobrine back on our survival world.

Oh. Gameknight replied. That’s a lot.

I can keep an eye on the server when/if you go into Minecraft. Jason typed.

Ok. Gameknight responded. Keep an eye out for him. I’ll tell Crafter and the rest of the NPCs i know. Thanks.

No problem. WolfDude got off the server as his dad began calling him down.

“Jason!” His father said. “Come here. You need to see this.” Jason sighed and ran downstairs.

“Yes dad?” Jason said. His father just pointed to the screens.  Each one had two lines of strange symbols. “The symbols around those strange end crystals.” Jason said, recognizing them. “I don’t know why, but I know what they mean.”

“What?” Daniel said.

“The first line says ‘you are never alone’ and the second says ‘you are Guardians’. They’re in the enderman language.”

“How do you know their language?” Sarah (TheWolvesHowl) said.

“I don’t know. I just do.” Jason replied.

“Will this ever stop? Can we defeat Herobrine again?” Abigail (Airagalaxy) said.

“As long as we have each other, we will make it through this.” Jason responded. “If your friends do not support you, they are not true friends.”

Everyone came together for a group hug.

Author’s Note

My name is Joshua. The Gameknight999 books have always inspired me since its creation. I always await every book like how a small child awaits candy. I’ve emailed the author, Mark Cheverton (Monkeypants_271) so many times between updates, reporting cheaters, and even about my depression.

I have lived a depressed life for years now. It started in 3d or 4th grade when my brother scared me out of my skin. That is besides the point, however. The point is I have been depressed a long time and nothing really helped me. That is, until Gameknight came into my life.

The Gameknight999 books gave me something in new in life. As I read every book, I feel more attached to them. Every motto. Every bullying reference. They almost perfectly match up with my life.

All I have wanted to do for many months was to expand the Gameknight999 community. Before my discovery of these books, I happened to have a YouTube channel, and eventually I discovered the Gameknight999 Server Network. As of now, I upload a Gameknight999 video on Wednesdays and anything else on Saturdays.

One way I have yet to “promote” the Gameknight books is to record with Monkeypants and talk to him. This has been my mission since my discovery of the Gameknight server and it will make me happier in life. If this is completed, scratch one thing on my bucket list. I understand, however, that he is a busy man and doesn’t really trust anyone online and he should. It would still be an awesome thing to do.

In summary, the Gameknight999 books brought something new to do in my life. Mark helped me discover some of my talents as well, such as writing. Therefore, I try to promote the Gameknight books in any way I can.

Mark, since you will be the first one to read this, I give you full permission to use whatever in this story, between my Herobrine’s return theory, all the way to just using my character(s) in some sort of way. I have a way for you to start your next series already set up, with Jenny going to tell Tommy that Herobrine has returned and my story being told to Gameknight. Then he goes to his friends to warn everyone and finds Herobrine there. Then you can feel free to add my character in the last book in some way. But hey. That’s just an option. Think about it.

Thanks for reading!
