Gameknight awoke. Everything was black. He panicked, pulling his diamond sword from his inventory and swinging wildly in the darkness. When he was satisfied that nothing was going to jump out at him, he calmed down a bit and pulled a torch out. Placing it down on the ground, he saw he was in a bedrock room. How did he get there? Where was “there?” Suddenly, light flashed into the dark, like someone had just put a torch in the ground. Gameknight whipped around, and saw a piece of glowstone had been revealed. Puzzled, Gameknight moved closer. “Hello Gameknight999.” A woman’s voice said out of the blackness. Gameknight froze. “I can see you from here. Do not go closer to me. You might be blinded.”
“Who are you?” Gameknight yelled.
“I am the chunk of glowstone you see before you.” The block started to warp, break apart in little pixels. The pieces of glowstone dust formed a NPC-like shape, though the thing wasn’t an NPC. It was a girl, quite beautiful in fact. She had yellow eyes that glittered brighter than the rarest diamond, and hair made out of pure light. Her clothes were glittering with pure white radiance. She was holding a staff that was comprised out of something extremely shiny. On the end was a light source that lit up the whole room. Gameknight was fascinated by this unearthly creature, and repeated,
“Who… who are you?” The woman said,
“My name is Hikari.” Gameknight replied, remembering something from one of his school classes,
“But… that’s Japanese… how would you know…” Hikari interrupted,
“Physical world languages? When the Creator programmed me and my race into Minecraft as a hidden feature, he made all of my species’s names different translations of the word “light.” Mine was Japanese. My mother’s name was Solas, and that is Irish in your world. It’s like that for every one of our people.”
“Okay…” Was Gameknight’s response. He wasn’t really sure what to make of the shimmery figure. “Why did you bring me here? How did you bring me here? Last time I checked, bedrock was unbreakable.” Hikari said,
“The Creator gave my species the power of teleportation. And for why I brought you here, well… my people are dying.” Gameknight’s confusion must have shown on his face, because Hikari launched into an explanation. “There have been a series of, well… murders, my family is calling it. People are randomly dying off. They just drop dead. Most of the population is afraid to come out of their homes. The Council of Light called on me to find you and ask you if you would help us. You have already saved the whole of Minecraft a couple times, so naturally the Council picked you.” She got down on one knee, and bowed to Gameknight.
“Will you help us?” She pleaded. Gameknight though about it. He had no idea who Hikari was, who “her species” was, who the Council of Light was, and yet, she had still came to him for help. If he refused, she might never let him out of the bedrock room. And besides, it sounded like they were in trouble. He sighed, and said,
“I’ll help you, but I’m not sure how helpful I’m going to be.” Hikari got up, and smiled widely.
“Thank you, User-that-is-not-a-user! The People of the Light are very grateful!” She waved her hand towards a bedrock wall, and it opened. Behind it, were buildings made out of light. Literally, all Gameknight could see was white and yellow. Hikari  said, “Come, to the City of Light!” She stepped non-hesitantly into the doorway. Before Gameknight followed, he felt that this was the beginning of a new adventure.
