 CHAPTER 1: Back into Minecraft

Gameknight999 walked downstairs, ready to play his favorite game, Minecraft. It was only 7:00 in the morning, but Gameknight thought it was late enough. With the recent lifting of the ban from the Council of Crafters banning users to talk to NPCs (Non-Playable Characters), he and Crafter could finally talk, and he could see Topper and Filler wrap their arms around his legs, smiling up at him.
Suddenly, he heard the phone ring, calling Gameknight to it with its annoying sound, like an alarm clock drawing a person to wakefulness. Picking it up, he heard a raspy voice. “Go to Crafter’s server, User-that-is-not-a-user. I have already taken a user from the physical world into Minecraft, and if you don’t come in, he will eventually die, along with the hundreds of other users I plan to do this to. Good day. I look forward to seeing you. Your user is currently in your hidey-hole.”
The phone clicked off, and Gameknight sighed. When will I get a break?” He thought. He dialed Shawny’s number, but got no response. “JENNY!” He called up the stairs, and his little sister came thundering down. “Jenny, I need you to help me. I’m going back into Minecraft. Keep watch over me, but if it seems like something will jump out of the screen, particularly 303, BACK UP. He will pull your whole being into Minecraft, but if he does, just hide in the hidey hole and call for help, unless you spawn with iron armor or better. In that case, just run to Crafter’s village.” Gameknight could tell his sister was bored with his over-cautiousness, so with a sigh, he stepped in front of the Digitizer, ready to take the Gateway of Light back into Minecraft.
And as he was enveloped by the blinding ball of light, he swore he heard a voice, a raspy voice like the one that called him on the phone; say “I’m coming for you, User-That-is-not-a-User.”
CHAPTER 2: 303
Appearing inside the mob chamber at the speed of thought, 303 looked around. Mobs of all kinds from the Overworld roamed this huge cavern, milling about with no purpose. A small flow of lava was nearby, pooling near a huge hole in the ground, out of which bats flitted in and out, still looking for the User-that-is-not-a-User. Many skeletons littered the ground, remains of NPCs from long ago, before bodies disappeared.
The grisly scene made 303 grin.
Howling a screechy wail, 303 called all of the mobs in organization by type. “MONSTERS OF THE OVERWORLD” he called, his voice that was once raspy, from accidentally falling face-first into a tree, eating three whole blocks of leaves, now powerful. “I know how depressed you are without your kings. We will miss Reaper, Xa-Tul, and Shaivalak.” Suddenly, in the middle of the speech, a small haunting of endermen appeared. “Are you not forgetting Feyd and Erebus, the ENDER kings?” They screeched. 303’s fist grew bright white, and he launched himself into the endermen, giving them a massive bear hug, leeching the HP out of their bodies and adding it to his surplus supplies, leaving them on the edge of destruction.
“Foolish Endermen, you know how I feel about lying. I will let you suffer while I create the other kings.” Walking to a Sister, he felt its fear. It supposed it would suffer horribly, and it closed its eyes. 303 merely swept a hand over the spider, saying in a bored voice, “You are Shaikora.” As the new queen opened its now purple eyes, it seemed relieved.
Moving to a zombie, he gathered many bats, and using their code and material, he improved the zombie painlessly, sculpting muscles out of bat flesh and welding it to the zombie, making it become zombie flesh, making it in an almost identical look to Xa-Tul, HeroBrine’s creation. 303 had found that if the creation did not hurt, generals were more obedient.
“What is this zombie’s name?” 303 asked. “This zombie is named Vo-Lor” The zombie replied. “Well, Zo-Lor, you are now the zombie king!” 303 shouted. Pulling out the heirloom of Xa-Tul II, a golden crown, he placed it on the zombie king’s bald, green decaying head.
Doing the same with a skeleton who called himself “Sharp-Shooter,” who then proved it by sniping a wandering user from a hundred blocks away, 303 created a specialty weapon for him; a longbow. It was hidden in the code, removed by Notch, but 303 didn’t care about what Notch did. Re-naming the skeleton “Sniper,” 303 moved on to his next work of art.
After creating Nitrus, King of the Creepers, a mutant creeper from a mod he’d once seen being run, Ya-Tut, King of the Husks, who was similar in physique to Zo-Lor, and Arcturus, King of the Strays, a skeleton with a Rocket Launcher as a weapon, 303 turned to the twitching endermen, who were now gasping for air, clinging on to the thinnest of threads of HP.
Crafting two of them into an enderman-shaped blob, he converted the other five into pure HP, and then he pulled out a suspicious, dark red ender pearl, and added them to the blob. Merging the HP into the whole thing, he spoke its name for all of Minecraft to hear “EREBUS, I WELCOME YOU BACK TO THE WORLD OF THE LIVING!! And as the blood red enderman cackled an eerie laugh that shook the fabric of Minecraft, he heard the faint buzzing that usually welcomed the User-that-is-not-a-user into the digital realm.
He is back, 303 thought, now let’s begin the fun.

CHAPTER 3: CreeperManG123

GameKnight999 materialized in a plain, the one he was used to seeing on Crafter’s Server, but something seemed wrong. The music of Minecraft was a bit off, as if the Oracle was dealing with yet another threat, and by the sound of the music, it was worse than Herobrine.
The beautiful night sky above Gameknight twinkled, the stars, albeit pretty, were deadly. Anyone out in an open field gazing upwards, admiring their beauty, would be most certainly picked off by zombies. Gazing around, the User-that-is-not-a-user spotted something.
Crouching on the ground was what seemed to be a machine. Large cylinders sat on its back, with cones on the tips making them seem like minuscule rockets. The mechanical looking suit gave of an odd iridescent shine, glowing with all colors of the rainbow, as if coated in Bismuth. Or was it germanium? Gameknight commonly slept through science class in school. The helmet broke off at just above the point of its mouth. Headphones sat on the user’s head, revealing the skin color to be a mottled green, like a…
“DUCK!” The user shouted, and then he whirled around. The red spots Gameknight had noticed were adorning the user’s armor suddenly flared bright red. Gameknight’s suspicions were confirmed when he saw the user’s face, that of a creeper. Chucking what seemed to be a can over the head of the User-that-is-not-a-user, Gameknight realized it wasn’t a can when it exploded, vaporizing a group of zombies that had crept up behind Gameknight. Looking above the new user, CreeperManG123, Gameknight saw there was a lack of a server thread.
Growling sounded from the trees around them, and Gameknight watched as zombies by the hundreds flowed out of the trees like a deadly blue and green wave.
“RUN!” Gameknight shouted, and as the deadly green wave poured out of the trees, Gameknight could have sworn he had seen, although he knew it couldn’t have been, the hulking form of Xa-Tul, directing the wave of zombies.

Chapter 4

Gameknight and CreeperManG123 sprinted across the plain, and as the Gameknight looked back, he realized that for every step he took, the zombies took two. They would be overwhelmed soon enough. Suddenly, a roaring sound burst to life. CreeperManG burst up behind Gameknight, his jetpack apparently for real. They were now gaining on the zombies, moving forward three blocks for every one they shambled across. The creeper-user grunted as the wall surrounding Crafter’s village seemed to grow larger. Suddenly, when they were a mere block away from the wall, CreeperManG tilted straight upwards and shot over the wall, soaring high before landing on top of the blacksmith’s house.
Cheers erupted from the villagers, but when they saw that a user was in the village, watching them, they dropped their tools and linked their arms. However, once they noticed there was no server thread, they picked up their tools and continued working. There had already been three different Users-that-were-not-users, so what was a fourth one?
“ATTENTION EVERYONE!” the creeper-user shouted, but it seemed he wasn’t shouting, merely turning up the volume of his voice mechanically. Strange… The User-that-is-not-a-user thought. “There is a huge army of zombies coming,” the creeper said, “and we will likely be outnumbered.” Moans rose up into the air, further accenting his point.
“Archers, to your posts! Cavalry, get out there and attack the flanks! Pull back once they attack back, and then go back in! Morgana!” “Yes?” The old witch asked. “Splash potions of healing!” The creeper said. “Anyone too young or old to fight, lob healing potions from the wall onto the defenders and the zombies!” Most of the children didn’t understand, but the elders did and ran to the witch for potions, the children following suit.
Shortly after all of the children and elders had taken ten potions each, moans sounded from the forest around them. The cavalry came bursting out of the forest, all of them smiling. Gameknight asked “What happened?” They replied “No NPC casualties and we halved their army!” Gameknight smiled, and then sighed. I hope this battle turns out the same way. He thought.
The archers suddenly opened fire, a hailstorm of arrows pelting down on the opposing zombies. A few of them burst into flame, likely from Hunter and Stitcher, but Gameknight found a zombie with a chunk of TNT sticking out of his drooling maw. “HUNTER, SHOOT THE ZOMBIE WITH TN–” Gameknight needed not finish his sentence, for a flaming arrow flew through the air, striking the zombie in the face.
BOOM! The zombie exploded, throwing about thirty zombie bodies in the air, all of them disappearing. The explosive seemed to create a shockwave, blowing away zombies in a large area, but nobody noticed. Gameknight thought he saw a hulking zombie, directing the army, but a loud growl rose into the air, diverting his attention.
The zombies had stupidly walked into the range of the children and adults, who hurled potions with all of their strength, and at the same time, swordsmen poured onto the zombies, the healing potions helping them and harming the zombies. Within seconds, there were only about ten zombies left, when there once was two hundred. The swordsmen made quick work of the remaining zombies, and they all cheered even louder as they realized there were no piles of items containing food; there were no NPC casualties.
Gameknight smiled, and then he frowned as he saw a familiar creature wearing what seemed to be a tin-foil hoodie appear, put its hand on the shoulder of the one responsible for the great victory, and then disappear.

CHAPTER 4: The Nether

Materializing at the speed of thought in the Nether, Entity 303 pulled CreeperManG123 along with him to the Great Lava Ocean, talking as he walked. “Why couldn’t you complete your task?” 303 asked. “All you had to do was fly Gameknight into the wall! Zo-Lor lost about 400 troops from YOUR PITIFUL MISTAKE!”
“I tried to grind his armor down!” the creeper lied, “Knowing full it would protect him! You wanted him to suffer!” This brought a smile to 303, who then shouted, “We’re here! The Great Lava Ocean!”
The creeper-user stared wide-eyed at the massive expanse of lava as hundreds of blazes hovered out of the lava ocean. CreeperManG saw the occasional enderman, but he loved blazes, contrary to his user name choice. Moving to a group of blazes hovering over land, the creeper looked back at 303, who was busy crafting a zombie pigman king. 303 stopped, looked at the creeper-user and nodded, and then the Creeper-user struck out at the blazes with his diamond tipped aluminum-steel sword.
The Newest-of-the-Users-that-are-not-users had been running a metalworking and tech mod before he was brought in by 303, along with others, implementing the mods into Minecraft, which made the features become added into the server permanently. The aluminum-steel sword was rather light, but was as deadly as a diamond sword, the diamond coating helping to cut into stone like a pickaxe, making it multipurpose. One swipe drained almost all of the HP from each of the floating monsters. Putting his sword into his inventory, he walked over to the mortally wounded blazes, which were dangling over oblivion by the most miniscule of threads of HP, he began to craft.
Merging the blazes into one single blob, he added to the blob the thirst to rule the Nether, a desire to help its Maker and any of his friends, and an overwhelming love of life. Reaching up, he grabbed some glowstone and added it to the blob. Melding the whole thing together, he shaped the blob into the shape of a blaze, and then he reached backwards, yanking a blaze rod out of an unfortunate blaze behind him, causing the blaze to explode, showering the rest of the fortunate blazes with life-giving fire, although some of them were whacked with stray blaze rods. Adding the blaze rod to the blob, he used his crafting powers to make the glowstone’s glow increase by the ten-fold, and then placed it in the creature’s retinas, causing it to glow brightly, and with a final flourish of crafting power, he increased the power of the creature’s fire, giving it the power to liquefy nearly anything.
Stepping back, he admired his work as it sat up, wheezing mechanically. Gesturing to a couple of blazes, they carried their king into the lava, allowing it to drink up the heat, increasing the power of his flame. “What is my name?” The creature wheezed, “Maker?” The creeper smiled at the blaze, then spoke the name; “Infernus”         Turning to Entity 303, the creeper let his eyes flare white. “Please, take me back. I grow bored of the Nether.” He lied. Entity 303 placed his hand on CreeperManG123 and then disappeared back into the overworld, leaving behind Ah-Ray, The Zombie Pigman King, who uses a backwards zombie alphabet, Infernus, Spectrus, a cold and calculating Wither Skeleton who even made the Wither generals in his army cower in fear of his vile lead-antimony-cadmium sword, which he carries as if it was as light as air and can poison anything it touches, Ghazer, the ghast king, who could spit balls of molten steel that solidified on their enemies, creating a metal cocoon, burning them in the process, and a dim-witted magma-cube king who still hadn’t thought of a name yet.

CHAPTER 5: The Creep Squad

After a few intense minutes of searching for the creeper-user, Gameknight found him on top of the watchtower, a worried look on his face. “What do you see?” Gameknight asked, noticing the fear that riddled CreeperMan’s face.
“In about two days from now, a thousand strong zombie and husk army will pour down on this village, along with the strays, skeletons, and, well… mobs from Dimension X, a… mod, I created and was running to check the compatibility with a metalworking mod I made, before I was, you know…” He swished a hand over his head, emphasizing the fact he was a User-that-is-not-a-user and his connection to the server was severed.
“There are the zombies, which split in two upon death to release vile Crawler Zombies, creepers that spawn in two new creepers when they blow up, skeletons that turn into skeletal armor for other mobs on death, and… Zo-Lor, the new zombie king.”
“However, I have some friends.”
Shutting his eyes, Gameknight felt him type through the chat, Creep Squad, ASSEMBLE! Suddenly, with a pop, a blue creeper-user-that-is-not-a-user appeared, sporting what seemed to be a freeze cannon and tanks full of light blue liquid. The spots on his armor that should have been red were a dark blue, but other than that, he seemed to be wearing the same armor as CreeperManG123. His username, HockeyKid634.
Next, a yellow one appeared, with very few modifications, the only noticeable one was yellow spots and a shark-face-shaped mask. This user sported a chest strapped across his back, and was dual wielding pickaxes made of a gray-ish metal. His name: Supershark511.
Finally, a bright red creeper appeared, however, instead of a jetpack on his back, he had long robotic spider legs that unfolded, allowing him to tower about five blocks into the air. His username was odd, reading,   “If_You_Are_Close_Enough_To_Read_This,_RUN”
CreeperManG123 pointed at the blue one with one mechanical finger. “That is CreeperFight. We are all named for things we are good at. CreeperFight can freeze enemies solid and then whittle them down with his diamond-tipped-aluminum sword.” Turning to the yellow one, he said, “That is CreeperBuild. This guy can whip up almost whatever you want in one day, but he can also rig up traps nearly instantly. An unguarded village would have walls, murder holes, TNT cannons, archer towers and archer slits, and much more, before the villagers even noticed. And the red one is CreeperProgram. This guy can easily create any sort of redstone apparatus.”
“I am Creepercraft, because I can craft anything I can imagine.” Grabbing a few dispensers, some redstone, and a button from CreeperProgram, and a few steel blocks from CreeperBuild, Creepercraft dropped all these items on the floor. He held up one arm and flicked a switch reading “Drain Life,” and then picked up a beautiful red rose. He grasped it firmly until the rose crumbled to a nasty black dust, and then flicked the switch again. He swirled the items together, and then fired a glowing red beam out of his hands, into the mix. The items arranged themselves, and shortly after, Creepercraft pulled out a small item, and then he removed his right hand, which Gameknight noticed had no fingers, and placed the small construction onto the nub left behind. Creepercraft stuck the detached limb into his inventory, pulled out a few arrows, stuck them into the dispenser limb, and then pointed his hand at a tree and, without looking, shot a spider out of the tree.
Gameknight was amazed. This user had modded this into Minecraft? He was also suspicious. How did this user end up surviving 303? Was he an accomplice? However, the user interrupted these thoughts.
“I can also craft mobs.” He said. “303 is creating new kings, so I went to the nether, and created a powerful ally, who, when the time is right, will sever 303’s rule over the nether. 303 also has something new up his sleeve. He can steal the HP from mobs, and once he gets to one thousand HP, he can re make Herobrine.” Gameknight shuddered. Herobrine was one of his worst nightmares, just below Erebus, the late king of the endermen. “303’s kings include Shaikora the spider queen, Zo-Lor the zombie king, Sniper the skeleton king, Nitrus, King of the Creepers, Ya-Tut the husk king, Arcturus the stray king, Erebus, the risen king of the endermen, and many more.”
Gameknight’s blood turned to ice. Erebus was back? Gameknight had seen the last of him back at the source, or was it 100 years in the past? Time travel still perplexed Gameknight. Either way, Gameknight knew that, whichever one of those times was the last time he saw Erebus, they would not stay that way for long.

CHAPTER 6: Herobrine

Entity303 thoughtlessly teleported around idly. He was busy thinking up strategic plans, and it helped him if his view was constantly changing. As he warped around, he checked his HP total. 900 hit points. 303 shouted out loud! He had been draining mobs for a while! How was the total only 900? That required 5 more zombies! As he thought about this, he subconsciously teleported to a small cave. Huddled in the corner was, as needed, 6 zombies. 5 for health, one for a vessel.
303 warped over to the zombies, and pulled out his lead tipped steel sword. He let his hand glow white, and then struck one zombie with the sword. The sword began to glow white, and 303 held it onto the zombie he had hit. White lightning shot outwards, striking each other zombie in the cave, except for the one meant to be Herobrine’s body. As the light faded, the zombies were gone, converted to pure HP and selfishly hoarded inside of 303. He then drew on his crafting powers to rip 999 hp from himself, converting it into habitable XP. Hanging over death, 303 quickly pasted Herobrine’s viral code into the XP, and then chucked the orbs at the zombie. The XP flowed into the zombie, and as it did, the creature’s eyes flared bright white.
“Hide in the shadows until you see a player, then die and let it take your XP.” 303 spoke, and the zombie grunted “Yes, Maker,” before shuffling off to wait for an unfortunate player. 303 then teleported back to the cave of monsters, sucked an unlucky zombie’s HP dry, and then sat back and waited.

CHAPTER 7: The Gems

A silvery mist surrounded Gameknight, extending onwards in all directions. This whole area felt vaguely familiar… and then it hit Gameknight. This was the land of dreams, the state between sleep and wakefulness. Suddenly, a rustling noise sounded from behind Gameknight. Thinking of the strongest sword he could imagine, the diamond sword with Sharpness V, Fire Aspect II, and Unbreaking III appeared in his hand. Gameknight knew that if you died in the land of dreams, you died in Minecraft as well. However, his fear was quelled when he saw that the rustling noise was Hunter rushing towards him. However, she had a look of panic on her face.
“Come quick!” She said. “And do it in the waking world…” She slowly faded, and disappeared, apparently waking up. Gameknight closed his eyes and thought to himself, “Wake up, wake up, wake up…”
“Wake up…” Gameknight awoke to his mumblings, and as his eyes opened, he suddenly remembered he needed to find Hunter. He eventually found her, staring into an open hole in one of the small watch towers. The hole led straight down to a small chamber, lined with what seemed to be iron, but more dark blue colored. Gameknight moved to the edge of the hole and began climbing down to the bottom, and what he found shocked him.
A small room was at the end of the tunnel. Looking in, Gameknight could see that there were what looked like massive computers lining the walls, and in front, there was a single chair facing a large monitor. On the monitor was a vast map of Minecraft. Accentuating the map were colored blobs moving across the map.
“I see you have found my laboratory.” A voice said from behind.
Gameknight and Hunter whirled around to see CreeperCraft standing behind them, hands behind his back.
“What are you doing?” Gameknight shouted.
“Monitoring the gems, of course.” CreeperCraft replied, as he paced around the room. “The gems are special objects I can plug into my suit for superpowers. They are guarded by certain mobs, however, but the rewards are overpowered. You can combine all gems to create the God Gem. Think of plugging it in and instantly being in creative mode. I need it to make all villagers invincible, ultimately winning the war in one fell swoop. There are a total of ten gems needed. They are the Ice Gem, guarded by Arcturus, king of the Strays, the Death Gem, guarded by Spectrus, king of the Wither Skeletons, the Explosive gem, guarded by Nitrus, king of the creepers, the Crafting Gem, which is in my suit, the Undeath Gem, which is split in two, one half guarded by Zo-Lor, the other by Ya-Tut, The Summoner Gem, guarded by the leader of the Illager clan, The Fire Gem, held by our ally in the nether, the Steel Gem, guarded by the King of the Golems, the Elemental badge, a gem-like object guarded by the Elemental Beast, and the missing—“
The screen suddenly had a new object appear on it. It was a ghostly white, with a sickening yellow-ish tinge that could only be one thing.
“The Shadow Gem,” CreeperCraft stated solemnly, “Guarded by Herobrine himself, has been located. And so has Herobrine.”

CHAPTER 8: Super Creepers, Deadly Friends

303 materialized in the jagged cavern with the sound of lightning. All around him, creepers turned and stared at him, and the mysterious black TNT he held in his hands. Silently moving to the nearest creeper, he made his hands glow a sterile white with crafting powers, and then he shoved the TNT into it. Its outer appearance changed to a dark mottled black, and 303 simply teleported into a plains biome, taking the mysterious creeper with him. Placing it in a small divot in the ground, next to the wall of a fortified village, he spoke the one word the dumb creature knew.
“Detonate”
Teleporting to a nearby hill, 303 watched as the creeper swelled and blinked white, but then 303 felt extreme pain shoot through his body and he was tossed off the hill by an unseen force. Hitting the ground, 303 felt his HP dip dangerously low. Crawling to a nearby cow, which was paralyzed in fear of the huge blast, 303 maliciously tore life from its body and gave it to himself. As he stood, he admired the creeper’s power. Now there was no more village, no more plains, no more hill 303 was just on. No, there was just one huge crater. TNTx500 Creepers were insanely overpowered, but standing in the middle of the crater was another user. It had a dark black skin on, no features on it. Even scarier, it had huge black horns. 303 then realized who it was.
“Null,” He spoke to the creature, “please go back to the hive and continue making more of those creepers, along with many x5’s, x25’s, and x100’s.” I need to go taunt my enemy.” And as Null teleported silently to the hive, 303 chucked a maniacal laugh. It began quiet, but soon it became so loud, it spread through the fabric of Minecraft, ending with him shouting, “I AM COMING FOR YOU GAMEKNIGHT! READY YOURSELF!”
