Shark Attack

By: Westyn

“Whoosh! Whoosh!” is what you hear when your oars drift over the water. It’s about 6:30 PM on a nice summer day at the Great Lakes. Timmy is having an awesome vacation, having his best fishing year he’s ever had. He’d been out for half an hour and he had caught some salmon, tuna, sun bass, northerns, and some catfish. His biggest one Yet was a foot and a half long which is actually longer than his arm, but he is small for being 18 years old 5’’1”, 74 pounds. It was going perfect until…

“Oh boy! This thing is huge!” Timmy yelled excitedly, but then he sees a shark fin. “Uh-oh.” Timmy groans.”Ah!” is the last thing he says before he gets drug into the water. “MMM!” he yells with his mouth closed. He was horrified. He thought this was his end. The end of his LIFE. He was reaching his end. He ran into the man-eating shark. It had completely and utterly DESTROYED his brand spanking new speedboat.

Then, he remembers that he has a knife on his belt for cutting up the fish when he is done. He stabs the shark with so much force, he cut off 10 pounds of that giant shark, forcing it to float up dead. In about a second, he was above the water and he was breathing and coughing so hard it looked like it hurt. He had been under for about a minute and a half until he jolts his head above the water. He got bit, leaving an eternal scar on his little left leg muscle that he had.

He swam in a blood pool for about a minute until he was back to the nice turquoise water. It took him 20 minutes to get back to shore.

Through all of that, there were no tears.

By the time he was done at the hospital, the bite was actually pretty deep, but it wasn’t severe. There was a very slim amount of skin till the bone.

So then, he had to use crutches. This was something Timmy will never forget for the years that he’s alive. It will be a family story.
