Gameknight999 stepped out his hidey hole and knew instantly that something had changed. In the distance, he could see a column of smoke billowing up into the sky like a long ashen finger pointing up to the heavens.
Oh no, Gameknight thought, that’s where Crafter’s village is at!
Checking his inventory, he started to sprint toward the village. As he ran, he glanced up at the sun. The square yellow face was starting to sink toward the horizon. He knew that he couldn’t make it to the village before dark. Gripping his sword tight, he readied himself for the battle that was sure to come as he ran across the landscape of Minecraft.
As Gameknight999 ran, he had to fight groups of zombies and clusters of creepers. Swinging his blade with all his might, he carved a path through the monsters, focusing on speed rather than vanquishing his enemies.
Eventually, he made it to the village. And to his horror, he found it completely destroy, erased from the surface of Minecraft. Only the smoldering remains of buildings stood where the once fortified village had been. Knowing where the survivers might be holed up, he headed for the center of the village, to the tall stone tower that stood guard over the villagers; it hadn’t done a very good job.
When he reached the tower, he found it mostly destroyed, but the floor untouched. Pulling out his pick, he started to dig in the corner of the floor where he knew the secret entrance to the crafting chamber would be. Smashing the block, he found a long tunnel that went straight down, a ladder along one wall. Grabbing the rungs with his boxy hands, he slid down the ladder. Once he reached the bottom, he streaked through the tunnel to the large room where he’d first met Crafter.
Bursting into that room, he found it empty, no signs of battle, the iron doors at the other end of the room closed. Moving to the doors, he drew his sword and pressed the button. The doors slowly swung open, and Gameknight999 was shocked at what he found.
