The Best Summer Ever

On a really hot day in summer Steve was watching tv. Steve said, “Man I wish I could really do something instead of just playing outside in the sun. Man I wish all of my friends weren’t on vacation.”

But right as he said that he saw a commercial on tv. It said, “Come on down folks! To the best pool in town, Bob’s pool fun. Come on down, it’s only 30 dollars!”

So right away Steve got up and asked his mom if he could have 30 dollars so he could go to the city pool. Steve’s mom said, ‘’Sure, but I’m going to give you 40 dollars so you can buy snacks and something to drink.’’

“Thanks, Mom!’’ Steve said.

SoSsteve got up and grabbed his towel he grabbed the money from his mom and headed out. So he grabbed his bike and started to pedal as fast as he could so he could get there faster. He was so happy because he was actually doing something instead of just sitting out in the sun. When he got there he parked his bike and ran to the entrance. Steve said, “Hi my name is Steve and here is my 30 dollars.”

The guy said, “Hi and my name is Jack. And you have to go to the right to get in.”

“Thank you,” said Steve.” When Steve got in he was amazed! He saw a 75 feet pool!

Right when he saw the chance he got to a chair. He put his towel down and jumped right in, Splash!! He was swimming down to the end when a lifeguard stopped Steve.

The lifeguard said, “Hey how tall are you?”

Then Steve said, “Umm… I’m 5.7.”

Then the lifeguard said, “Ohh well then you can swim over there than uhhh.. Sorry.”

“It’s ok,” Steve said. After the guard said he was fine to swim over there he started  swimming like a dolphin. Then he saw a diving board he wasn’t scared of heights so he went all the way to the top he said, “I got This!!” So he jumped WHOOOO SPLASH. “That was fun,” he said while swimming toward the ladder.

Next he saw a vending machine. He walked up to it and said, “Hmmm what should I get. Hmmm, ohhh I know.” So Steve got Gatorade and a bag of Doritos. After Steve was done he said to himself, “I love Doritos.”

Next Steve wanted to play a game, but first he looked at the clock to see what time it was. He remembered what a poster said. It said, “Hey folks you can have fun until 7:30 because that’s when we close.”

He checked the clock one more time. It was 5:OO. Ok I still have a lot more time to swim. Then he saw the diving board. He kept on doing that because he thought it was fun. After doing 3 times in a row, Steve wanted to challenge himself so he said, “I’m going to do a front flip off.”

Steve climbed up the ladder feeling brave and strong. The water dripping off him and he screamed, “I GOT THIS.”

This one kid behind him said, “Hey could you go a little faster?” Steve thought he was going really fast, but he noticed that he was still in the middle.

But then he said, “Nah, I’m not gonna do that. When he got down he said, “I’ve had enough fun for one day. I’m just going to go home.”

Steve said, “Although my friends aren’t here this is the best SUMMER EVER!”
