CHAPTER 1 

 

“Are you ready for the trip?” Mom asked.

      I was not ready for this trip.  Me and my family were going to a trip in Hawaii. I am afraid of any kind of storm. My older brother Brandon is just sitting on the couch playing video games. Mom walked over to Brandon and took off his headphones and said, “It is time to get off electronics. It is almost Christmas time and we are celebrating it there.”

      Brandon turned off the T.V. Grabbed his suitcase and walked to the car. 

“Let’s go Tommy boy.” Mom said. 

     Tommy’s my little brother he went walking out the door with mom. He was carrying his power ranger suitcase. 

      “Come with me Rylie.” Dad said. I walked over to dad and went into the car.

 “Okay lets do this! ARE YOU READY!” Yelled dad turning on the car.

     “Yah!” Yelled Tommy.

     “Dad stop acting like the Titan Game on Netflix.”I said.

     “Okay okay.”

     Brandon put on his headphones and played video games on his phone. Tommy was on his cindle watching Barney. Dad was driving while mom put on her headphones and listened to the calm app. While I was texting Aubrey on my phone.

     Tommy fell asleep so did mom Brandon was playing video games still and dad was driving. I was very tired so I took a nap.

     “Rylie wake up. We are at the airport.” Mom whispered. I woke up looking everywhere I noticed we were here so I got out of the car got my suitcase and walked into the airport. 

     “Here are your tickets your flight line is right there.” Said the lady at the front desk.

     “Thank you.” Said Mom.

     “Okay kids lets get into this plane.” Said Dad. We all walked in the guy checked our tickets and we went straight into the hallway of the plane.

 

CHAPTER 2

 

We were walking in the hallway and into the plane. A flight attendant took are luggage and we walked to are seats. I was right by mom and dad while Tommy and Brandon were sitting right next to each other. 

      “Mommy, Brandon is ignoring me!” Yelled Tommy.

     “Ok I will sit by him take my spot.” Mom said. Mom sat up and walked to hide and grabbed a news paper and sat down.

     “Dad I am hungry!” Said Tommy.

     “We are almost there.” Whispered dad. 

     “Everyone take a seat!” Yelled the plane driver out of the speaker.

    Then a huge bump went by. HUMP! 

     When we arrived we had no car so mom ordered one for a couple of days. So we took the bus to the car station. When we arrived we walked into the car station and got our keys to the car. We walked out of the building and got to are car to the hotel.

     When we were at the hotel we went straight to the pool.

“I WILL BEAT YOU ALL TO THE DIVING BOARD!” Yelled Dad.

     “NO YOU WILL NOT!” I yelled. I ran straight to y dad and he jumped in right away. As soon as I got there I dived right in. 

“Come on lets go back to the hotel room and go to bed!” Mom yelled over at us. We ran towards her and grabbed our towels and walked to the hotel.

     When we arrived we got dressed and went to go out and eat. Then we noticed it was a Christmas Eve party! After we ate we ran to the kids playing kick ball.

     “Okay lets go home and go to bed.” Said mom. We walked to the hotel and tucked ourselves in and went to bed.

 

CHAPTER 3

 

I woke up and yelled, “IT’S CHRISTMAS EVE!!!” Everyone woke up and ran to the Christmas tree. I ripped open my present and I screamed, “PUPPY!!!

     “Well what are you going to name it?” Mom asked.

      “I think Coco.”

     A couple hours later it was Tommy’s last present.

     “A FOOTBALL!!!!!” Said Tommy.

     We got on our swimsuits and went straight to the beach. Me and Tommy were playing catch while Brandon was just sitting there playing will the drone he got for Christmas. Dad ran over to us and joined us and was reading the newspaper. 

“OH NO RYLIE LETS GO YOU NEED TO GET READY FOR YOUR DANCE COMPETITION!” Yelled mom. I ran with her so did Dad and Tommy and also Brandon. 

     We were finally ready for the competition and my solo was first. It was called up so I was ready.

“ NUMBER 22 RYLIE PERFORMING CRY!” Said the judge on the speaker.

I walked on stage and I knew that this performance was going to be amazing.

     The solo was done I thought I did great.

“AND THAT WAS NUMBER 22 RYLIE!” I ran straight to the changing room and got on my trio costume. My trio was with Lydia and Holly. 

“NEXT ON STAGE IS NUMBER 54 LYDIA HOLLY AND RYLIE PERFORMING I CAN ONLY IMAGINE!”

     “That was great guys!” Said Lydia quietly. 

     “Yah but lets get ready for the group dance!” I said getting out of breath. We went to the dressing room and got on our group dance costumes and went on stage.

     “NEXT ON STAGE IS NUMBER 67 GROUP DANCE PERFORMING DANCE MONKEY!”

I started out on stage so I walked on and smiled. It was a little nerve-wracking but I was ready.

     “That was good.” I whispered. we walked over to awards I hope we get first.

     “OK NOW JUNIOR SOLO AWARDS 10TH PLACE IS MYA WHO PERFORMED ALL IS MINE!……… NOW 3RD PLACE IS EMMY PERFORMING MOTHER!….. 1RST PLACE IS RYLIE WHO PERFORMED CRY!!!!”

     I was relieved that I was 1st place! I ran up.

     “AND WHAT IS YOUR DANCE STUDIO!”

     “Broadway dance!” I yelled.

     “THANKYOU! NOW FOR JUNIOR DUET TRIO CATEGORY ……….. 1RST PLACE IS I CAN ONLY IMAGINE! NOW WHAT IS YOU DANCE STUDIO?”

    “BROADWAY DANCE!” We all said.

“OKAY NOW ON SMALL GROUP AWARDS …….. 1RST PLACE IS…… DANCE MONKEY! NOW WHAT IS YOUR DANCE STUDIO?”

“BROADWAY DANCE!”

“THANKYOU EVERYBODY FOR COMING!” I can not believe I won all of my dances! It felt amazing.

 

CHAPTER 4

 

I ran to my mom and jumped up and gave her a big hug.

“You did amazing sweetheart!” Mom yelled. We took the car home and went to the pool again!

     “Dad, we really have to go again!” I yelled. 

     “I am sorry but your brother Tommy loves the pool but you can go to the hotel room if you want?” said Dad.

     “Fine I will go back to the hotel!” I yelled.

     “Don’t forget your phone!” Dad yelled. I ran to him and grabbed my phone. I saw a free electric scooter sitting by the road so I took it to the hotel.

     I got on my phone and texted my BFF Aubrey. RING! RING! RING! It was my mom.

     “Hello Mom.”

     “HELLO SO CAN YOU RUN OVER THE MED KIT?”

     “ Yah but why?”

     “BRANDON GOT PINCHED BY A CRAB!”

     “Ok, I am on my way bye!” I grabbed the med kit and went to the beach. I gave mom the med kit.

“Thank you Rylie!” Mom said.

     After that we went straight to bed at the hotel. I could not go to sleep

“AAHHH!” I wandered who screamed. It sounded like it came from the boys room. So I went over to the room and Tommy was crying.

     “Are you ok?” I asked.

     “I had a bad dream!” Yelled Tommy. 

     “What was it about?”

     “We were playing at the beach and and…… a huge wave went over and killed us!”

     “Well let’s stop thinking about it. Come to bed with me.” We walked in my bed and I thought what if that will happen?

 

CHAPTER 5

 

I smelled pancakes and stood straight up. I ran to the kitchen and it was dad cooking.

     “Hey! Look who’s awake!” Dad yelled. 

     “Don’t forget chocolate chips in my cake!” I yelled walking to the couch. I turned on the t.v. To the news.

     “Come to the Hawaii beach and have some fun!” The t.v. Shouted.

     “I want to go!” Yelled Tommy.

     “Sure go wake up your mom and your brother.” Dad said. I walked over to wake them up.

    “Wake up! We need to go to the beach!” I ran to my room to get my swimsuit on and ran into the car.

     It was 30 minutes later and they have not come yet.

     “Okay!” Dad yelled. He put the puppy in the car and started driving. All of a sudden we arrived. I jumped out of the car as my feet peacefully hit the sand. I ran to the pool and cannon balled. We played with the football for awhile but I started to get tired so I layed down on one of the seats.

     “OUCH!!!!!!!” I sat right up! Mom ran over to tommy and picked him up to sit down with her. Mom was hugging him so tightly that he couldn’t breath and she finally let go. Tommy took a little nap on mom. I started to not be that tired any more so I ran to the diving board and dived in. 

     “RUMBLE!!!!!!!!!RUMBLE!!!!!!!!” I looked up from the water.

     “EARTHQUAKE!!!!” Yelled someone. I swam as fast as I could. Finally my feat hit the concrete and I run to my mom.

     “WHERE DO WE TAKE COVER?!” I yelled.

     “Over there on the hill!” Mom yelled. My heart was pounding like a squirrel jumping around in my chest. I ran as fast as I can. Tommy and mom were whimpering a lot, so I took Tommy and ran while holding mom’s hand.

     “RUN A TSUNAMI IS ON IT’S WAY!!!!!” A random person yelled. When I heard that my knee’s felt like rubber.

 

CHAPTER 6

 

     “Go save yourself go with Tommy.” Mom said very tiredly. I ran up the hill trying to pull mom’s hand but she was too heavy. 

     “Mom let’s go!” I yelled. I pulled her as hard as I could, but she didn’t move a muscle. Tommy was bursting out in crying. It felt wrong but I had to I ran up the hill but while I was running I saw a wagon. I ran more set tommy in a safe place behind the tree and ran for the wagon. As I finally got the wagon I heard screaming again.

     “RUN!!!!!!!!” I ran toward mom with the wagon and put her in. I ran as fast as I could up the hill. Then I saw a huge wave coming over us! 

     “Whoosh!!!!!” I was swimming around trying to get up over the water, but wood was blocking me. All I heard was rin going in my ear. It felt like my ears didn’t pot when I am on an airplane. I felt pain all over my body but finally my head lifted from the water. I saw mom swimming towards me. But another wave was coming.

     “MOM WATCH OUT!!!!!” I yelled. Before she Even heard me the wave went over us. I swished my head up again and I pointed at the tree we both swam as fast as we could towards the tree. Mom was all ready there and I grabbed her hand right away. But I heard crying, but I recognised that voice.

     “Mom there Is….Is…..someone crying out there.” I said.

     “Who?”

     “I do not know but let’s go help them.” We walked over to the noise and we saw a kid under a pile of leaves! I ran after him but then I saw it was Tommy! I dug the pile of leaves searching for him he had scratches all over him. he jumped out ran to mom and gave her a hug. 

     “Mom we need to get to the top of that tree because there might be another wave coming!” I said. We all ran towards the tree I was holding tommy while climbing and mom was right behind us climbing. while she was climbing I saw the skin on her calf was pulled down will blood gushing down from the side’s. she had a huge black eye. i looked at my arm it had a huge scar. 

     “HELLO ANYBODY HERE!” someone yelled.

 

CHAPTER 7

 

“Mom there is someone over there. I climbed off the tree waving my arms “help! We are over here!” I ran over to them and pointed at the tree. They ran and grabbed them. I jumped in the truck they took us to the airport.

     “We checked you guys in the car you are fine here are some clothes when you are waiting for your flight.” the man said giving us some clothes. We ran inside to the front desk.

     “Can we have a flight to California please!”mom said. The girl at the front desk gave us some tickets and we ran to the bathroom to change. we got on our clothes and ran to the airplane line. then I saw two men running into the place with ratty clothes. I recognised their voices so I ran to them and….and…. I was my dad and brother!

“MOM IT’S DAD AND BRANDON!” I yelled while running to the I hugged dad so tight. I pulled their hand and ran to the plane. Mom was crying a lot. dad mom and Brandon were hugging so tight. I was so happy that are family was together again. I ran to my seat and buckled in. The pilot was driving very fast but then I heard a big crash and we were falling down.
