A Zombie’s Christmas

By Snake and Cobra_II

Chapter 1

Hu-Ime shuffled as fast as she could to the secret entrance to Zombie Town. She had just got a great idea, but she was afraid that her parents would just laugh and say that it was a stupid one…just like every other time. So this time she was taking her idea straight to the leader of Zombie Town.

Then Hu-Ime came to a large cavern with a smooth stone wall, except for one lone protruding block. Hu-Ime walked up to the block, and pushed it with all her might. A click sounded and a potion of the wall lifted up to reveal a tunnel that stretched out into the depths of minecraft. Hu-Ime smiled and shuffled down the passageway.

After a while the tunnel opened up into a large cavern that was dotted all over with little houses, made from sandstone, sand, gravel, stone, dirt, and so much more, creating a kaleidoscope of colors. Hu-Ime hurried past the houses to get to the center of Zombie Town where she knew where the leader of Zombie Town was.

As Hu-Ime pushed through the houses she saw a cloud of purple teleportation particles forming before her.

“Hey, Hu-Ime! How’s it going?” the enderman that appeared before her said.

“Hopema! Thank Notch you are here!” Hu-Ime said. Hopema grinned and said,

“Ok, what crazy plan do you have now?”

“It isn’t crazy,” Hu-Ime said.

“It’s just difficult.” Hopema shook her head and said,

“Ok, out with it.” Hu-Ime replied,

“You know those two users that have their base on the mountain above us?”

“Yes, Snake and Cobra_II?”

“That’s them. Anyway, I heard them talking and they described a cool holiday! They call it Christmas, and from what I heard, there is a whole lot of snow, there is a huge Christmas tree that they decorate, and they give presents to the rest of their family.” Hopema’s brow furrowed,

“And what is your plan?” Hu-Ime laughed and said,

“Why, to do it!”

“And how do you expect to do it?”

“Well,” Hu-Ime said, “I was thinking that we could collect some of the snow from outside and strew it all through here, get a spruce sapling and plant it, and then we can use gold, emeralds, and diamonds to decorate it.” Hopema raised an eyebrow and asked,

“And how are we supposed to get the jewels?” Hu-Ime smiled and said,

“There are plenty of them in the nether fortresses. So you see Hopema, I have thought of everything.” Hopema shook her head in resignation, and then Hu-Ime looked at her with pleading eyes.

“And could you manage to teleport me to the obsidian platform in the middle of Zombie Town? Please? I need to convince our leader to say yes” Hopema sighed, but grabbed Hu-Ime and teleported. They appeared about 15 blocks away from the obsidian platform that had the leader of Zombie Town, Zi-Kul, clad in golden armor standing on it. Hu-Ime started shuffling towards the platform, then she turned to Hopema, and said,

“Wish me luck!” then as she started towards the platform Hopema whispered to herself,

“I wish you luck that you don’t get killed.” Then she disappeared.

Chapter 2

“I just don’t understand it!” Fy-Ime was sitting on top of a tree. Snow was falling, and she could see the rest of Zombie Town wandering around on the ground. It was night, so they didn’t have to wear any helmets, but they were wearing every scrap of armor that they could find, just because it made them look impressive.

Fy-Ime turned to Hopema who was sitting next to her.

“I just don’t understand it! Zi-Kul didn’t even pay attention to me! He was swinging his sword in imaginary battles, but I thought that it was a leaders job to listen to his people, so I said my idea, then I waited for 5 more minuets until he said,

‘Is Hu-Ime still here?’ then just as I was getting up he said,

‘Zi-Kul thinks that Hu-Ime should be named Fy-Ime, just to teach Fy-Ime some manners’ then I got up and left, but I didn’t even do anything! And he still demoted me!”

Hopema sighed and said,

“Look, the fact is, you are different! You talk different, you think different, and you have different friends, I mean, just look at me!” Fy-Ime looked at Hopema in confusion,

“You have too many talents to just be wasted away only because your leader won’t listen. In fact I have an idea.” Fy-Ime sat up straighter,

“I will spread the rumor that there is a huge cave, over in that mountain,” Hopema pointed to a mountain that was about a days walk away.

“And in that cave, there is a gold mine in there, you now how much your leader loves gold.” Fy-Ime nodded,

“So, he will order all of the zombies in Zombie Town to come to get it! Then you, your friend from the nether and I can turn this place into a Christmas Town! So how about it?” Fy-Ime smiled at Hopema and said,

“Thank you Hopema.” Hopema grinned and said in mock surprise,

“Me? What did I do?” Fy-Ime laughed and said,

“For being such a great friend to me.”

“Yes, I am a great friend to you, and don’t you forget it!” Hopema said laughing

Chapter 3

Fy-Ime was hiding in a house that Hopema had sealed up to stay hidden. Fy-Ime ran over the plans in her mind, first we are going to find Ab-Lon, Ab-Lon was her friend, a zombie pigman, Ab-Lon lived in a nether fortress that had one of the largest quantities of jewels in all minecraft, then we will tell her about our plan, and if she agrees to help then, we will send her to get a bunch of jewels from the nether fortress. Hopema will go with her to get some glowstone blocks, and I will head up to the forest to get some snow. Hopema has already gotten the sapling, and the dirt block, so now I guess there is only one thing to do, me to get out of here! Fy-Ime started punching the blocks of dirt that Hopema had placed to seal her in. the cracks started to get wider and wider until…Crack! The block disappeared. Fy-Ime started to work on the second block, but soon she heard something she looked up to see Hopema and Ab-Lon looking at her. Fy-Ime smiled and said,

“Hey, Ab-Lon!” Ab-Lon smiled and hugged Fy-Ime,

“Hey, Hu-Ime! I’m coming to help.” Fy-Ime smiled and said,

“Thanks, but the name is Fy-Ime, I was demoted.”

“By who? That zombie who calls himself a leader, but doesn’t even listen to you? Sorry, but I am sticking with Hu-Ime.” Ab-Lon said with a wave of her hand. Hu-Ime smiled and said,

“Well, I have a favor to ask…”

“Say no more.” Ab-Lon said,

“Hopema explained everything, and I agree.” Hu-Ime grinned and said,

“Well, thank you.”

Hopema quickly took away the blocks that were keeping Hu-Ime in the house, then the three friends walked into the town square. Once they got there Hu-Ime started giving orders,

“Ok, Ab-Lon, you are on jewel collecting duty. Hopema, you are on glowstone collecting duty, and I am on snow collecting duty, any questions?”

“Yeah,” Hopema said.

“Hmm?” Hu-Ime asked,

“When did you get so bossy?” Hopema said. Hu-Ime laughed and said,

“Off to work mobs!”

Ab-Lon headed towards the nether portal, and Hopema disappeared. Hu-Ime headed out the passageway to the surface of the Overworld. Once Hu-Ime got up to the surface she peeked out the cave. It was day, but Hu-Ime had expected that, so she put on a leather helmet that would protect her from the sun. She was so confused at why Notch had punished all zombies for the transgression committed by their ancestors. The zombies had changed, at least she had. Hu-Ime pushed the thought out of her mind and focused on collecting the snow.

Chapter 4

Hu-Ime staggered into Zombie Town with her arms full of snow. What she saw there almost made her drop it all. The ceiling of Zombie Town was covered in glowstone every 5 blocks. There was a huge tree in the middle of Zombie Town, and it was covered in diamonds, emeralds, and gold. As she stood there with her mouth open, she noticed that there was redstone dust underneath her feet. She followed the dust line to see that it was connected to the tree. Hopema walked out from behind the tree and reached over to flip the lever. Then she saw Hu-Ime,

“Hey, Hu-Ime,” she said,

“Do you have the snow?”

“What is all this?” Hu-Ime asked in wonder. Hopema smiled and started to say something, but then a green splash potion sailed over her head, and it splashed all over the wall. Hopema frowned and said,

“Ab-Lon! We need those!” Ab-Lon walked out into the open and said,

“But this is even better! Look!” Hopema turned to look at the wall, and she saw that an HP fountain was spewing embers from the wall.

“Huh, well whaddoyou know.” Hu-Ime moved closer to the fountain to test the embers, and when she did she felt her HP rejuvenating.

“How did you do this?!” she exclaimed.

“Well,” Ab-Lon said with a smile,

“I took a glass bottle, and charted the patterns of the glowing embrosa, then I put glass bottles on the spots that would be hit by the glowing embrosa, then…” Hopema glared at Hu-Ime and whispered to her,

“See what you started?” Hu-Ime nodded weakly as she remembered that Ab-Lon explained everything very complicatedly, maybe because she hung around in the nether fortress library.

“And that is how I did it. Any questions?” Ab-Lon asked. Hopema raised her hand,

“What is it Hopema?” Ab-Lon said.

“Can you explain that again in English?” then Hopema burst out laughing and when Hu-Ime saw Ab-Lon’s expression she burst out laughing too. Ab-Lon glared at them, then, she glanced at the snow that Hu-Ime was carrying, then at some of it that was on the floor. Suddenly she dived at the snow, scooped it up, and shot a trio of snowballs at Hopema and Hu-Ime. Hopema and Hu-Ime looked up just in time to see the snowballs hit them and Ab-Lon burst out laughing. Hopema and Hu-Ime grinned at each other, then they started to throw snowballs at Ab-Lon, until it turned into a full scale snowball battle.

Chapter 5

Hopema, Hu-Ime, and Ab-Lon lay on their backs in a huge pile of snow, breathing heavily. Then Hu-Ime said,

“Now, *pant* you have to *pant* help me *pant* get all the snow again!” Ab-Lon said,

“Well, *pant* you started *pant* it!”

“Excuse *pant* me?” Hopema said,

“You threw *pant* the first *pant* snowball actually!” Hu-Ime got up and said,

“Look, you can argue about this all you want, while you are collecting more.” Hopema and Ab-Lon got up as well and started to collect all the snow.

“By the way, what is that redstone trail?” Hu-Ime asked Hopema.

“That is a line that leads from the entrance, to the tree, and when it hits the tree the tree lights up!” Hu-Ime stopped to look at the tree,

“Lights up?”

“Yeah,” Hopema said,

“All the redstone torches that I placed behind the gems.”

“Oh,” Hu-Ime said.

“Hey, am I supposed to do this all by myself?” Ab-Lon asked.

“Sorry, Ab-Lon,” Hopema said.

“I guess we better start snowing this place up, if we are going to be ready by the time the other zombies get back,” Hu-Ime said. Ab-Lon and Hopema nodded and got back to work.

The next day was a blur for Hu-Ime as she and her friends worked hard to transform Zombie Town, into Christmas Town. They placed snow everywhere, Ab-Lon continued to make more HP fountains, and Hopema continued to place more and more redstone everywhere so that when the zombies came back, they would be taken all through Zombie Town and would see everything. Then, on the day that the zombies would come back, something happened.

“What do you mean, they are at the entrance?!” Hu-Ime said. Hopema had just teleported to Hu-Ime, and told her that the zombies were at the entrance.

“I mean, that the zombies are here early!” Hopema said. Ab-Lon walked around the corner and said,

“Hey, guys, do you have anymore…”

“Not now Ab-Lon, the zombies are here!” Ab-Lon’s eyes widened and she dropped what she was doing and started toward the nether portal. Then she turned around and said,

“Tell me what they think of it!!” then she ran towards the portal room. Hu-Ime turned to Hopema and said,

“Quickly! Light the redstone!” Hopema disappeared in a cloud of purple teleportation particles, then she came back.

“It’s flipped on,” she said. Then she grabbed Hu-Ime and teleported into the forest. Hu-Ime walked over to a tree, and peered around it. She saw he whole town trying to get in. She turned back to Hopema and said,

“Thanks for you help.” Hopema smiled and said, “Think nothing of it.” Then she disappeared, and Hu-Ime walked around the tree to meet her zombie town.
