Gameknight followed the NPC through the colorful landscape of the Minecraft Mesa biome. Along the way, Gameknight noticed a tent in the distance.
“Wait up!” exclaimed Gameknight. “What’s that tent doing there?”
“That is my home,” answered the NPC. “A server admin spawned me there. You’re welcome to stay the night and then I’ll give you supplies for the trek to the nearby village.”
The NPC took Gameknight to the tent and placed down a block that looked identical to a campfire ring in the physical world. Then he placed his sword in a chest and took out an object that looked like a marshmallow.
“So,” Gameknight began. “Where’s you village? Are you a Lost.”
“I don’t have a village nor am I a Lost. If I get 100 blocks away from my tent, then I get teleported back.” replied the NPC. “I’m a Custom NPC, coded by players. A friend of mine who is a Ranger not a Custom NPC will meet you at the half way point which is a little more than 100 blocks.”
“So what’s your name?”
“I’m just called Guard. The server admin just named me that.”
All of a sudden, an NPC ran out of the darkness.
“Hello Richard, Why aren’t you out at your camp.” asked Guard.
“Uruk-Hai have been spotted near the village” replied the NPC.
“What is a Uruk-Hai?” asked Gameknight.
“An strange creature that has unusual armor. They aren’t Zombies nor Skeletons.” replied Guard grabbing a sword.
