Book 1 In the emerald journey’s series

Chapter 1   The beginning

It was a bright sunny day in the village of Emerald City, when a player with spiked hair, green eyes, and excitement on his face entered the world of minecraft.  The new players name was Henry.

“Wow it’s amazing!” Henry was staring at the wood on the houses reflecting with light.

“Hello there,” a joyful voice behind him spoke.  Henry whipped around to a player with brown hair a turquoise shirt and green blue pants.

“My name is Diamondsword.  Nice to meet ya,” said the player.  Daimondsword walked up to Henry.  ”Welcome to the server Eliata and call me Dave.”

“My name is Henry,” Henry replied.  The two were now walking down the village road.  The gravel was scraping their feet.

“Have you played minecraft before?” Henry asked.

“Nope.” Dave replied.  Henry then heard something on the side of the path.

“I’m looking for two brave warriors.  There is a reward.”  The player had a high pitched voice that rung Henry’s ears. The player also looked like a sorcerer.

“We’ll help you.” Henry said as he walked off of the side of the road.

“You young mortals want to work for me?” the sorcerer asked.  The sorcerer had a long gray beard and gray hair.  Henry took a close look at his eyes.  What Henry saw made him jump.  It was a vision of a world in flames. There were fiery monsters and fire everywhere.

“Yes, we do,” Dave told the sorcerer.

“You will travel far and wide through the forest, into the desert, and enter the castle.  Your reward is this,”  the sorcerer held a bottle filled with black juice.  The bottle had a Z on the side.

“Bring me the sword of king Zelvor.” Henry was freaking out.  He was jumping up and down.

“What is that stuff?” Dave asked.

“This is chemical X.  It can destroy any monster,” The sorcerer told them. “But for your journey you will need weapons.”  The sorcerer pulled out a pixelated ax and sword. Dave grasped the sword which appeared to be made of stone.  Henry grabbed the stone ax.  It seemed much lighter than he expected.  Henry and Dave started walking to the nearby forest.

“Remember the world is on hardcore. That means once you die, you can’t return,”  the sorcerer told them.  Henry and Dave walked into the forest.

Time had gone by. They were deep into the forest when, Woosh!  An arrow flew right past Henry’s head.

“Arrows!” Henry and Dave were running to the source of the flying arrows.

“RRRR!” Henry growled as he threw his ax deeper into the forest toward the source.  Clink.  The arrows had stopped coming toward them.  Henry and Dave walked to where Henry’s ax had landed.  Henry stared at the figure that had launched arrows at them.  It was what appeared to be a skeleton.  Henry pulled the ax out of the monster’s chest as it started to fade away.  What was left of the skeleton was a bone.

“Well this might come in handy,” Dave said as he picked up the bone.  Henry and Dave walked deeper into the forest.

“I hope we don’t run into any monsters again,” Henry said trying to start a conversation.

“That was a nice throw back there,” Dave replied.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!  An explosion happened right in front of them. Whoosh. Crackle Crackle.  The explosion created a fire which caught onto the trees.

Chapter 2 the Griefer

“Hiya!” A figure jumped out of the woods right in front of them.  The character had brown hair a  white hood and black gloves.  Clink! Clank!  The sword of the mysterious player and Dave’s sword collided into each other as they engaged in combat.  Dave’s stone sword was no match for the players iron sword.  Psh!  Dave’s sword shattered as he stood still in front of the player.  The player raised his iron sword in front of Dave.

“AHHHH!” Henry screamed as he ran at the player.  Henry drew his ax and threw it at the iron sword.  Pshhhhh!  Both weapons shattered as they came in contact.

“This isn’t the end players, John Cena58 will return!”  The player apparently named John Cena58 threw an item at the ground.  Boom Boom!  Another explosion happened.  When the smoke cleared John Cena58 was gone.

“I’m going to call that guy John.”  Dave said.

“We’ve got a problem!” Henry said as he stared at the fire burning and getting larger by the second.

Henry and Dave ran through the forest until they got to a pool of water in the middle of the forest.

“Phew!” Henry exclaimed.

“Wait did you hear that!” Dave said as he walked to the forest.  Henry could hear a slight whimper.  Dave ran to where the whimper was, which was toward the fire.  All Henry could do is watch as his friend entered the forest.

Dave ran through vines as he ran toward the slight whimper.  Dave then saw an animal that was like a dog in the forest lying on the ground as his tail drooped.  Dave crept toward the dog.  GRRR!

“It’s okay,” Dave told the dog as he picked it up.  Crash!  A nearby tree fell and crashed down.  Dave kept running and running into the direction of the pool.  Trees kept falling and crashing.  Crash Crash Crash!

“Ruff Ruff Ruff.” The dog barked.

“You know what, I’m going to call you Charlie.”  Dave told the dog.  Dave ran out of the bushes to where Henry was running around dodging John’s swipes of the fist.

After Dave ran into the burning forest Henry heard a rustle behind him.  Then out of nowhere John jumped up and punched Henry in the gut.

“RRR!” Henry growled in pain.  Ignoring the pain Henry ran around just barely dodging the strong punches of the greifer.

“I’ll…get…you…pest!” John said as he got tired from throwing punches at Henry.  Henry was also getting tired from running and dodging his punches.  Henry then heard  another rustle of the leaves when Dave jumped out with a dog in his arms.  Dave set the dog down and punched John right in the gut.  John fell on the ground crying in pain.

“I’ll kill you both when I have the chance!” The griefer said as another explosion happened.

“Wow he sure likes explosive escapes,” Dave told Henry.  Then Henry felt a creepy feeling on his leg.  Henry looked down and saw the dog Dave had been holding.  The dog seemed to be tilting it’s head at Dave.  Henry then saw what the dog was staring at.  It was staring at the bone hanging by Dave’s side.

“You want this?” Dave asked the dog as he healed the bone.  The dog grabbed the bone and heart icons went above the dog.  Dave grabbed a collar that appeared in his inventory and wrapped it around the dog’s neck.

“Meet Charlie.” Dave told Henry.

Henry and Dave had been walking for hours.  It was raining and the giant fire calmed down.  Henry and Daimondsword had seen a couple of monsters behind trees that Charlie growled at.

“Hey what’s that?”  Henry was staring at a wood and stone building.  Henry started to run toward the building when he stopped and heard a beast like metallic clanking sound.  Clank! Clank! Clank!

 

Chapter 3  The village

Dave and charlie had caught up to  Henry when they saw something that stopped them.  It was a giant iron man with vines growing on him.

“Welcome players…” A figure with a giant head a nose that went down to their mouth was speaking to them, “Could we help you?”

“Yes, we are very hunger and have taken a lot of damage.” Henry told the figure.

“We are known as villagers.  My name is Oloop.”  The figure said.

“I am Henry and this is Dave and Charlie the dog.” Henry told Oloop.

“Then follow me.” Oloop told the three. “I will take you to Anthora, the priest.”  They all walked down the gravel path.  Henry saw other villagers wondering in the town.  Some of the villagers were running into trees others were wondering in random directions.  Henry looked forward and saw a tall building made of stone.

“This is the church.”  Oloop told them. They walked into the church and a villager in a white cloak was standing in the back of the church.

“Anthora these players wish to be provided with food and shelter.  Ask the almighty Notch if they can.”  Oloop asked Anthora.

“Yes I will ask the almighty Notch.”  There was a long pause when Anthora spoke.  “The almighty Notch has told me they can, but it’ll bring destruction to the village.” Anthora told them, “We will provide you but then we will leave the village to prevent being destroyed.”  Henry, Dave, Oloop, and Charlie walked out of the church and to Oloop’s house.

“Here is some bread for you.”  Oloop was holding two loafs of bread.  Henry and Dave were gobbling down the bread.  Henry looked down and saw that Charlie’s tail was drooping.  Diamondsword had also saw that his tail was drooping.

“Do you have any pork chops or steaks to heal Charlie?”  Dave asked Oloop.

“Wait, how do you know how to heal a dog when you’ve never played Minecraft!?” Henry asked Dave.

“I looked it up.” Dave replied.  Henry felt so stupid and decided to do more research on Minecraft.

“No, but the butcher Gefy does.” Oloop told Daimondsword.  Dave then ran out to the butcher’s house.

It took only a few seconds for them to get to the butcher’s house.  Clink clink.  The door clinked as they walked into the house.

“Could we have some pork chops of beef for my dog?”  Dave asked Gefy.

“Wait, you guys are the new players here.  You can have some.”  Gefy awkwardly tossed the meat toward the players and the dog.  Henry instantly ate the cooked meat.  He hadent’t noticed how hungry he was until now.  Henry thought the meat was delicious.

“You guys should go to the blacksmith Dogert and get some weapons and armor.”  Geffy told the two as they finished eating the meat.  Henry and Dave went to the blacksmith Dogert’s house.  When they entered Dogert looked like he was expecting them.

“Here you go I’m getting out of here before we die.” Dogert had a voice like a western guy in a movie.  Henry saw as the villagers walked out of the town as he put on the armor that glinted diamond.  He noticed a ax with a diamond blade next to him.  He grabbed it then BOOM BOOM BOOM!  An explosion happened at the church then it collapsed.  Crash!  It was followed by a evil voice that said.

“Come out here villagers we know you have helped some weak, pathetic players!”  Then Henry saw a figure with a scar across his face.

“Hello players I’m King Zelvor!” the evil voice spoke again while he fought Dave.  Henry was afraid to strike in fear of hitting his friend.

 

Chapter 4 the loss

“Dave we got to go before blows!”  Henry yelled to his friend King Zelvor ran away into the distance.  Dave got up from the ground when Henry heard a Thunk!  Henry looked at his friend an arrow had knocked off Dave’s helmet.  Dave had been knocked out.  Henry started running to his friend when Boom!  An explosion Happened right where Dave had been.

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” Henry shouted.  Henry walked out of the town that was destroyed.  Henry Noticed it was still raining and Henry felt very wet.  Very sad.  He had lost his only friend.  Whimper.  Henry looked down at Charlie.  His tail was drooping down to the ground Henry had looked everything he could about Minecraft, a fact he found was If a dog’s tail is pointing down it has low health.  To heal it use steak, pork and cooked pork, beef, chicken and cooked chicken, or rotten flesh.  Henry took a steak from his inventory.  He gave the meat to Charlie, Charlie ate it practically hole.  Charlie’s tail then shot upward.  But Charlie was still sad because he lost his owner.  Henry saw the edge of the forest.  Henry ran and ran to get out of the dreadful forest. Henry finally got out of the forest and only saw…Sand.

 

Chapter 5 the desert

Sand…all Henry saw was sand.  This must be a desert.  When Henry thought about the desert it reminded him about the wizard and his quest in the town of emerald city.  A rush of anger flooded him as he thought about King Zelvor and Dave’s death.  I won’t just steal King Zelvor’s sword I will slay him!  Henry thought angrily.  Charlie must of felt the same because he started to growl and look angry.  Henry then heard a rustle.  It sounded like someone was digging and it kept growing louder.  Shh SHHH SHHHH….. BOOM!  Someone flew from under the sand and whacked Henry in the head.  Bang!  Henry flew backward and saw Charlie tackle the player.  Then Henry saw the face it was John!  Charlie was trying to bite John’s face but John used his hands to pick up Charlie and throw him to the ground.  Whimper.  Charlie’s tail dropped to the ground.  Henry ran with all his might to engage in combat.  But than Henry realized that he had never fought before except when he through a ax toward a skeleton.  He had never versed a player in combat.  Henry then realized that John was wearing an iron helmet and chestplate and was holding a gold sword.

“HIYA!” John yelled as the two players charged at each other.  Clang Clink Clang!  The two armed men engaged in combat and swiping blades at each other.  Henry barely dodged a blow toward his head.  Then John dived toward Henry pointing with his sword.

“Ahhhhhhhh!” Henry screamed as the sword connected with his chestplate.  HHHhhhhh!  John’s sword shattered against his chestplate.

“You got lucky,” John told Henry.  And then John went back underground and away from Henry and Charlie.

Henry walked over to Charlie and fed him leftover steak.

“We need to rest.” Henry told Charlie sleepy.  Henry closed his eyes and went into a deep slumber.

Henry woke up to growing.  Henry got up and couldn’t believe what he saw.  The once empty desert had been filled with mobs mainly zombies.

 

Chapter 6 the first night

Zombies were everywhere, as far as the eye can see.  One thought entered Henry’s mind, I must fight them all.  Henry thought the only thing that could spawn this many zombies is a zombie spawner.  Henry had read once that a spawner spawn an unlimited supply of the mob it spawns.  A spawner was a black cage with a mob inside.  Henry was ready for the fight of his life.  Henry charged toward the pack of zombies with the sand scraping at his feet.  Henry swung the diamond blade at the zombies.  He knew he needed to take it out from the source.

“AAAAAAA!!” Henry screamed while destroying zombies left to right.  Rrrrrrrrrrr!  The loud noise of zombie groans filled the air.  Henry heard the sound of ax meeting flesh as he swung his ax in the air.  Henry saw by his side biting a rotten arm.  Henry looked forward and saw a cave filled with zombies.  Henry ran toward the zombies and swung his ax at them.

After killing about 100 zombies Henry saw the zombie spawner with a zombie swirling around in a black cage.  Poof poof!  Two zombies appeared out of nowhere.

“RRRRRRRRRRR!” the zombies growled at Henry and Charlie.  Bark bark!  Charlie was barking at the zombie.  Then in a flash a gray blur jumped at his side and tackled one of the zombies Henry charged at the other one.  Henry heard the noise of metal meeting flesh again.  Poof poof!  More zombies were spawning.  Poof poof!  Henry was thrown to the ground.  The zombies tore at him ripping his boots and leggings of.  Henry thought it was the end.  Slice slice slice.  Henry heard the noise of zombies dying.  Henry then saw the player who was saving him.  The player had green blue pants and he saw a glimpse of his face, it was Dave.

 

Chapter 7 the message

Zelvor sat on his royal throne in his castle overlooking Emerald city.  It had been a couple hours since he killed the two noobs in the village.

“Sir, we have got a message from our spies.” Zelvors royal servant handed him a piece of paper.  Bang!  The doors swung open and Zelvors highest in command soldiers walked in.  On the right was Grevot, he had a cape like Zelvor and had a part of his head showing his skull, he had burned in battle and it left a wound.  On the left was Trevort, he also wore a cape and had a eyepatch around his right eye.  Zelvor read the letter it said,

            From Your Grievers,

We have searched the wreckage of the village.  We have not been able to find their materials.  We have assumed the somehow survived.  We are heading to the desert to find the imposters.  We have identified them as Daimondsword and Henry.

      John Cena58 will find them. 

“I will not let noobs in this world!  I will do everything in my power to stop them!” Zelvor yelled as he left the room.  Zelvor remembered into his past noobs had taken everything from him, now he shall destroy them all.  Zelvor went to the TNT switches.  Each one will destroy a house or shop in the city.

“I will destroy them all!” Zelvor yelled as he pulled a lever. And another and another.  BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!

 

Chapter 8 the return

Henry saw the sun rising in the horizon and saw zombies burning.  Then Henry remembered about Dave.

“Dave!” Henry shouted.  He turned around and saw Dave, he had ripped armor and had bruises all over his body.

“Are You okay Dave?”  Henry asked him.

“Yep, feel as eager to get revenge than ever.”  Dave told him back.  Dave got up but wobbled then fell back down.

“Well I can’t get up.”  Dave told him, “Does zombies always attack my legs.”

“How are you still alive?” Henry asked.

“Well First I was running behind you, then something hit me in the head, then I saw you running to me.  Then u…uuu..u a TNT bomb was detonated right in front of me I flew in the air and fell down, Next everything went black.  I woke up and came to find you.”  Dave told him the story.

“I’ve found you now!”  Henry recognized the voice it was John.  Something Henry didn’t understand was that there was 5 different footstep patterns.

“Time to die pests!” John yelled down at them.  He was standing at the entrance of the cave with four people behind him.

“Ooo, everyone be scared it’s the great John!”  Dave said sarcastically.

“IT’S JOHN CENA58!!!!” John yelled from above.  He charged at them with his pals behind him. Henry noticed that one was dressed like a ninja while another was a scientist throwing potions everywhere.  Henry just barely dodged a potion flying at him.  Another one of the attackers was a soldier with a gun blazing in his hands.  The last person was a warrior with two diamond swords.  Pow pow pow!  Potions exploded everywhere.  Dave was in combat with the warrior.  Wizzz!  A green pearl crashed right in front of Henry.  John appeared right in front of him.  His sword started crashing down.  Henry raised his ax to block bot slipped and the ax went flying across the room.  Thunk!  His ax found himself in the chest of the ninja.

“Johney!  You will pay!”  John gestured his friends to retreat.  They all ran out of the cave into the bright day.

“At least they’re gone.”  Dave told him.

“Let’s go to the city and finish this!”  Henry told Dave.  They walked out of the cave and into the desert toward the city.
