I wonder about Minecraft in different languages. Does anyone know if some of the things in Minecraft have funny or different translations in other languages?
Minecraft in different languages

Hi
I know about a lot of funny easter eggs in Minecraft, from the “Mince-raft” title joke to the “Disk 11 spectometre” easter egg, but my favourites are the language settings. I was on minecraft the other day and i found a funny language setting called “Australian English (Australian)”. but instead of using the regular australian, they used australian slang, and that was pretty funny. here are some translations:
done: all good
creeper: bunyip
witch: magic shiela
rabbit: bilby
bucket of water: water billy
pig: hairless wombat
open to LAN: open to nearby mates
I found this pretty funny, but it was nothing compared to the hilarious language i found next: Pirate Speak
It was so funny and complicated and confusing that i can only remember one translation:
“some translations might not be 100% correct” to “Pirates bain’t talkin’ like yer scurvy landlubbers”
wow, that’s cool
In Korean, the potion of harming is called the potion of pain.
In Korean, the potion of slowness is called the potion of ensnaring.
I like that one, potion of ensnaring . . . sounds much more dangerous
yeah, it really does. =)
try the LOLCAT language from the kingdom of cats, here ar som funny transalations:
wet sponge: wet spongebob
zombie pigman: Oinkey Hooman
bedrock: U CAN’T BREK TIS
diamond block: MUCH MONEY $$$
sticky piston: stecken pusher
elytra: FLYYYYYYYY
eye of ender: evil eye
blaze: OMG ITS MADE OF FIRE
and a bunch of other funny stuff.
NOTE: some translations might not be 100% correct
In Korean, the stronghold is called the ender ruins: I guess this means that the strongholds were made by endermen! =)
In Korean, the end is called the ender world, and the splash potion is called the throwable potion.
NOTE: All of my Korean translations are made by translating English to Korean, then back to English.
Fun Fact: one time, a famous Korean minecrafter named Dotty joined a server, but forgot to hide the ip address. This resulted in about 5000 Korean Dotty fans joining the server at once, which almost immediately crashed it. Then the server fans started to shout curse words at Dotty, which then resulted in the Dotty fan shouting curses back and ended up being a giant fire-war. But the strange thins is, that in all the curse words the Dotty fans shouted, it had the Korean curse word of (sibal), which is about as bad as the f-word.
(P.S. this is the first time I’ve written a curse word online, and I hope it doesn’t be a problem. But if it does, then can somebody tell me how to take it down?)
(PPS: change the word “thins” to “thing”. It’s a typo.)
In Korean, “herobrine” is pronounced “herobrin” . I guess this means that in Korea, herobrine actually counts as a LIGHT-CRAFTER. =O
In Korean, the enchantment feather falling is called light landing,
respiration is called breathing,
depth strider is called paddles,
bane of arthropods is called bug deet,
silk touch is called delicate hands,
punch is called pushing,
and lure is called bait.
Fun Fact: in Korea, there’s a story about the ender crystal recipe where it has an ender EYE above a ghast TEAR. Since there’s an eye above a tear, it means that the ender eye is actually CRYING, meaning that the endermen is being farmed and kill by the Ender dragon in order to make and repair the crystals. (PROOF: sometimes, the ender dragon DOES attack the endermen and even kills them.)
NOTE: frustratingly, I made another typo. change “kill” to “killed”.
Why isn’t anyone making replies?
Here you go. Your wish has been granted!
There u go I did it
