I couldn’t wait to play the violin because the teacher’s was so good at playing it when she showed us the instruments at school. I picked the violin because I thought it was the perfect instrument. I was so excited about it in the morning before leaving school.
All morning while at school, I couldn’t hold my excitement for the orchestra meeting at the end of the day. I waited and waited, thinking about the violin that I was going to choose. After P.E, it was finally time to go meet with the orchestra teacher, Mrs. T, so I could finally tell her my choice. I thought about how proud my mom would be about me choosing the violin. When I got to the auditorium, I saw the violins on the side of the room and I knew it had to be mine. Mrs. T went through and showed us all of the instruments, the violin was the best.
I waited patiently, until Mrs. T finally got to me and asked what instrument I wanted, I replied excitedly “the violin please”. She said of course, that would be perfect for you. I couldn’t believe that I was finally getting the violin. We left the meeting and all I could think about was going home and telling my mom what happened.
A few days later, I was able to bring the violin home to start practicing for my lessons. I pulled it out of the case and my little brother, Zuko, came over to see what I was doing. I was a little nervous because he is only 1 year old. I didn’t want him to break anything. He walked over and looked at the shiny pieces. I put the violin together and plucked in it the way that Mrs. T showed us. It made a loud noise that scared my brother. We laughed and then I called my mom over so that she could see the violin. She reminded me to be gentle with it because she didn’t want to have to buy another one. I put the violin away and placed it with my things so I didn’t forget to bring it to school to the next day.
That night, I continued to play with my brother Zuko and thought about how happy I was to finally have the instrument that I love.
When I got home from school that day, my mom asked “how was the orchestra meeting?.” I said “it was good I picked the violin.”I sighed because i’m not getting the violin. I was hungry I mumbled to myself. People whispered “ what is that a viola or a violin” I whispered “it’s a violin Mrs.T told us it’s a violin with the bow” “see I told you” I laughed because they were wrong. And for a joke I warned them the violin was hard then someone mocked me then everyone laughed at me.
I got steamed and I shouted and cried on the inside. Then I calmed down.So she groaned “sorry” I think she thought loser then I blurted “sorry.”Then at aftercare Natalie yelled “it’s time to go outside.”And I had the best “yeah wooh I love this.” After that my mom (AKA Sia) and I saw my baby brother Zuko I softle yelled he is “so cute!” Now I have my violin. Now in my life I have lots of good violin lessons, Zuko is still so cute. My mom is all good. Shout out to Mrs.King,mom,Mrs.T,Natalie,my…….violin!
