Life when Upside-Down 2: Revenge of The Ancients

AREA 51 REASERCH

By Henry M.

Area 51 is one of the most secretive places in the whole US. I did some research on it, and if I get raided either physically or digitally, I have posted this under “Life when Upside-Down 2: The Revenge of the Ancients.” (Which I will make… someday…) Anyway, this is just for fun and stuff.

Chapter 1

I found this on Wikipedia:

Area 51 is the common name of a highly classified United States Air Force (USAF) facility located within the Nevada Test and Training Range. A remote detachment administered by Edwards Air Force Base, the facility is officially called Homey Airport (XTA/KXTA) or Groom Lake[2] (after the salt flat situated next to its airfield). Details of the facility’s operations are not made public, but the USAF says that it is an open training range,[3] and it is commonly thought to support the development and testing of experimental aircraft and weapons systems.[4][3] The USAF acquired the site in 1955, primarily for flight testing the Lockheed U-2 aircraft.[5]

The intense secrecy surrounding the base has made it the frequent subject of conspiracy theories and a central component of unidentified flying object (UFO) folklore.[6][7] The base has never been declared a secret base, but all research and occurrences in Area 51 are Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI).[8] The CIA publicly acknowledged the existence of the base for the first time on June 25, 2013, following a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request filed in 2005, and, at the same time, they declassified documents detailing the history and purpose of Area 51.[9]

Area 51 is located in the southern portion of Nevada, 83 miles (134 km) north-northwest of Las Vegas. The surrounding area is a popular tourist destination, including the small town of Rachel on the “Extraterrestrial Highway“.

So, Area 51 is a classified military base. So what? Not so fast. Did you read the part that says people have made theories about UFOs being stored there?

Now there’s a story.

This is what I found on Area 51—facts and information – National Geographic:

First of all, 2 million people signed up to storm Area 51! Now that’s a lot.

Second of all, the ‘organizer’ called the “Storm Area 51” event a hoax, the city officials say that 30 – 40,000 people could show up ‘this weekend.’

Tourists from around the globe come each year to catch a glimpse of ‘otherworldly aircrafts’ and the mysterious base, which may or may not house ‘foreign spaceships.’ Some of the legend of our topic, which has been discredited for years, is based on real events, if you know the history of Area 51.

As soon as I finished reading that, it asked me to create an account to continue reading. Me, who doesn’t trust these kinds of messages, took that as an invitation to either inspect the page, or stop reading.

I chose the former.

Somewhere between mile markers 29 and 30 along the extraterrestrial highway, 120 miles NW of Las Vegas, there is an unmarked dirt road. No buildings are visible, but this road leads to Area 51, a military base with a LOT of unofficial names: Paradise Ranch; Watertown; Dreamland Resort; Red Square; The Box; The Ranch; Nevada Test and Training Range; Detachment 3, Air Force Flight Test Center (Det. 3, AFFTC); and Area 51.

Before WW II, the area near Groom Lake was a silver and lead mine. When the war started, our military took it over and began conducting nuclear and weapons testing.

Oh man, I hope this isn’t illegal to inspect the page instead of signing up… I’m going to sign up…

Done.
