The new and improved Charybdis
The story: As many of you know, Charybdis was the blaze king, who was
famous for:
1#: Protecting his master Herobrine when he was some XP in an enderchest (in
Gameknight999 vs. Herobrine).
2#: Killing Snowbrin (in Overworld in Flames).
3#: Killing Butch the villager who led the army of villagers into the Nether (in
Overworld in Flames).
4#: Almost burning the Overworld to the ground (in Overworld in Flames).
Gameknight999 killed Charybdis when Gameknight threw a snowball at him
finishing the last of his HP.
Some would think that that was the last anyone would see of Charybdis, but that is
not true….
The resurrection: Charybdis’s items (blaze rods, XP etc…) fell into the
great lava ocean, where only moments ago, hundreds of blaze rods and XP fell into,
because of the snow golems that Gameknight created in the Nether to help battle the
blazes.
Because of all these blaze rods and XP, (plus part of Herobrine’s XP if you
remember) Charybdis didn’t die; he simply became XP, (not to different from what
happened to Herobrine).
Then he became something new, something different, something dangerous.
He absorbed all the XP of the blazes and what was left of Herobrine’s XP, that helped
him to become a form again.
For a while he was just a head, a blaze head, literally on fire with hate, anger, and the
need for revenge.
Eventually the Herobrine part of him caused him to start pulling all the blaze rods
from the blazes that were killed to him and the blaze rods started to form armor for
Charybdis.
Charybdis even killed the blazes that were tending the blaze eggs, and the baby
blazes for blaze rods.
What does it matter? Charybdis thought in his half conscious mind, they are blazes,
and blazes were made to serve me.
Finally after months of killing blazes Charybdis had a form again but he looked
different, very different.
His head, because it was scraping for so long on the bedrock floor of the great lava
ocean, was blackened on the bottom.
Instead of a few blaze rods circling the flame that made up a normal blazes body, he
had 100 blaze rods all fitting together like armor to protect him.
Since there were no openings in his armor for him to shoot fireballs he used blaze
rods, in fact he had gotten so good at it that he could shoot 3 blaze rods in quick
succession easily lowering a diamond clad player’s life to half in a second.
His eyes, because they were burning with a hatred for Gameknight999, and NPC’s
for so long, were now always burning.
Finally! Charybdis thought, I can exact my revenge on Gameknight999!
The entry: As Charybdis floated up through the great lava ocean he
thought about what he was going to do.
I shall first find my generals and kill them, yes! That is what I will do first, after all,
there is no place for generals who do not believe that I, Charybdis, best of all
Herobrine’s creations, would let a little thing like death stop me!.
Finally Charybdis’s head broke the surface of the lava ocean.
As he looked around he saw a great nether fortress Ah! That is where my army of
blazes will be! He thought, and where my generals will be, he added with a sneer.
Charybdis tried to float up to a balcony so he could instruct his subjects but found
that he couldn’t.
What is this? Charybdis thought, why can’t I fly?!
Charybdis thought some more and tried something different; he tried walking
across the netherack valley.
As soon as he started walking, he immediately found himself at the base of one of
the pillars that held up the nether fortress.
He tried to float upward again but it didn’t work.
In frustration he hurled a blaze rod at the pillar, and to his surprise it broke.
He peered into the hole that he had made and he found that this pillar was hollow.
He didn’t waist one moment in hurling another blaze rod at the pillar, which opened
up a 2 block tall entryway.
Charybdis saw a ladder going up the tunnel and peered up it.
He could see a light at the end of it.
Well, he thought, here goes nothing, and he started up the passage.
The rejection: When he got to the top of the tunnel he looked around
and saw a young blaze chatting with his friends as they strolled down the hall.
“You there! Blaze!” Charybdis called out.
The young blaze stopped chatting and said, “What?”
“Go to the meeting chamber and tell the ones in charge that Charybdis, king of the
blazes has come back!” Charybdis said.
The blaze looked at his friends, then suddenly he and all his friends burst out
laughing.
“HA! HA! HA! HA!” “Charybdis is dead!” the blaze said.
Charybdis grew angrier and angrier, and as he grew angrier he started to shift 5 of
his blaze rods into launch position.
“You think I’m lying?” Charybdis asked in a deadly whisper.
Just as the blaze was about to answer, Charybdis shot a blaze rod straight at his
head, killing him instantly.
“Hey!” Charybdis turned to the other blazes and launched blaze rods at them to.
Clank! Clank! Clank! Clank!
The other blazes were dead.
Charybdis collected their blaze rods and started down the hall searching for another
to carry out his will.
The anger: Squeal! Charybdis finished killing the zombie pigman.
Why are there so many zombie pigs and magma cubes!? He thought in frustration.
For the last 30 minutes or so he had been making no progress because he had to
stop to kill all these monsters.
When he had been in charge, only blazes and whither skeletons were allowed in the
fortress.
Whoever allowed all these monsters in here will be killed! He thought in anger.
Finally he reached the meeting hall.
Inside he could here some blazes talking over what to do about something.
He looked around and saw a stairway that was leading up to a balcony that was in
the meeting room.
He started up it, and as he walked up it he heard the blaze that was speaking clearer
and clearer.
“Why should we do this? We don’t know if that is what will happen or not!”
As Charybdis walked towards the opening he heard the blaze that was standing on
the balcony that he was walking to say, “Do not worry, I personally have spoken to
the Crafter and he has agreed to spare us if we only help the NPC’s when they have
to cross in the Nether.”
Charybdis stopped dead in his tracks.
What!? Helping the NPC’s!?
Charybdis’s eyes started to burn even brighter as he thought; I will have to kill this
one.
Charybdis charged out onto the balcony, drawing many surprised gasps from the
other blazes, readied a blaze rod and shot it before the blaze had time to blink.
Clank! The blaze was dead.
At that all the blazes shot fireballs at him because that was the standard reaction to
a killing at a meeting, but this time Charybdis was not in the mood.
He turned and shot wave after wave of blaze rods, some sticking into the balconies
some sticking into the wall, and some finding their marks.
Metallic clanking sounds filled the air as blazes shouted in surprise, pain, or death.
When the rest of the blazes peeked over the side of the balcony Charybdis expected
them to be submissive, but he was wrong.
A blaze shot a fireball, not at Charybdis, but at a button, connected to a redstone
ladder, connected to a special note block.
Suddenly the blaring noise of the note block sent all the blazes to the ground.
The noise brought all the blazes from all over the fortress to the meeting room.
“He has killed most of these blazes!” the blaze that sounded the alarm shouted, “Now
we need you help to kill him!”
Charybdis turned to leave, but then he turned around lightening fast, and sent a
blaze rod sailing up to that blaze.
The satisfying clank! Of the blaze rod finding its mark, sent Charybdis away to safety.
The run: Charybdis sped through the nether fortress trying to get out of
there.
Those idiot blazes will pay for this! Charybdis thought with rage.
Finally he reached a balcony but he as he looked around he realized with surprise
that there was no way down.
The mechanical breathing of blazes drew his gaze to the entrance.
Hoards of blazes were crowding around the entrance; Charybdis didn’t think that
even he with his knew powers could hold them off.
Suddenly he heard the mechanical breathing of blazes behind him.
He turned to see another army of blazes behind him, floating in the air.
“Kill him!” one of the blazes said, but before the blazes could ready their fireballs,
Charybdis was firing wave after wave of blaze rods at them.
Charybdis was lost in rage and anger as he killed hundreds of blazes.
Why are they trying to kill me? This isn’t right, he thought in his mind.
Then the first wave of fireballs was launched at him.
The first wave didn’t hurt him in at all, but they did tear away at the blaze rod armor
until there was a huge gash in it.
Charybdis looked down at the gash, expecting to see flame like all blazes, but instead
he saw XP.
Charybdis was confused, why do I have XP instead of flame? He thought, then the
next wave of fireballs struck him.
Many of the fireballs just hit the blaze rod armor, but one of them went inside a gash
to where all the XP was, agony reined.
Charybdis screamed in pain, it felt like his insides were being burned up, and when
he looked down he saw that it was actually true.
The fireball was burning up all the XP that was in Charybdis, and in turn was killing
him.
Charybdis rolled around and around until the fireball rolled out, and then he turned
on his side to see the evil grins of the blazes.
He looked beyond the blazes and saw a field of XP and blaze rods, the remains of the
blazes that he killed.
Suddenly Charybdis lunged for the field, crashing through the blazes, and landing in
it all.
The XP and blaze rods swirled up around him, filling him with new strength and
armor, and then he stood.
Time seamed to slow down for him; he watched the blazes preparing new fireballs
to throw at him, he looked and saw a huge pit that sat under the balcony, and then
he knew what he had to do to survive.
He would not survive this battle, he knew that, but he might survive a large drop
into a pit.
He hurled himself towards the edge of the balcony.
The fall: Charybdis fell through the blazes that were floating around the
balcony.
Some of them tried to shoot at him as he fell, but he was going to fast.
He looked around and saw the wall of the pit rushing up all around him as he
fell…down…down…down…down.
He realized that the walls of the pit were to steep to climb up…he would have to find
a different way out.
Suddenly he saw the ground rushing up to meet him.
He slowly positioned himself so that he would hit the ground “feet” first.
He landed.
Instantly he crumpled, the blaze rods that were at his feet shattered, and all the XP
spilled onto the ground.
As Charybdis tried to shift his blaze rods to his feet he heard the pounding of feet
running towards him.
He turned and tried to shift a blaze rod in the direction of the runner but failed, he
was just to weak.
He turned to see who was running to him and saw a…villager?
Why is there a villager in the Nether? He thought.
Then he faded into unconsciousness.
The villager: As Charybdis slowly gained consciousness he looked
around and saw that he was in a cave.
It was a spacious cave that had 8 double chests in the back of it.
He looked down to see that he was in a lava pool.
He looked behind him and saw a brewing stand, cauldron, and another double chest.
This is probably a user or witch base in the Nether he thought.
Suddenly he heard a door open and close.
He looked behind him and saw the villager that he saw running up to him before he
fell into unconsciousness.
He was only a NPC child; Charybdis could take care of him easily.
Charybdis readied a blaze rod…and shot it at the child.
Suddenly the child turned around and swung an iron sword at the blaze rod;
smashing it at the ground.
Then the child looked in confusion at the blaze rod.
Then he looked up at Charybdis, “you shoot blaze rods?”
Charybdis stared in surprise at the child, then he shot another blaze rod at him.
The kid jumped up causing the shot to miss completely.
“Hey! Look pal I’m trying to heal you!”
Charybdis shot blaze rod after blaze rod at the child, but all of them missed.
“Whoa! Watch it! My name is Healer! I am trying to keep you alive!”
Finally Charybdis collapsed from exhaustion.
The kid stopped jumping around and said, “finally.”
“Look buddy…”
“I am not your buddy!” Charybdis yelled.
The kid raised his hands in submission, “Ok fine blaze, will you let me tell you why I
am trying to heal you?”
Charybdis growled.
“I will take that as a yes…”
“NO! I will not take help from a NPC!” Charybdis spat out the last word like poison.
Healer’s brow furrowed in annoyance, “Ok then, I guess you want to be outside
then?”
“Yes!”
“With all the monsters that will kill you for your XP?”
“Ye…no.”
“Then you will let me heal you?”
Charybdis’s mind raced furiously, I can let him heal me and then kill him! I will get
more XP and there might be something useful in those chests.
“Fine,” Charybdis said reluctantly.
Healer nodded, and walked over to the chests.
He opened one and brought out some wood, blaze rods, and blaze powder.
He walked over to Charybdis and said, “Can you shift some of those blaze rods so I
can put this wood in there?”
Charybdis narrowed his eyes and asked, “Why?”
Healer sighed and said, “You are a blaze! The wood will help you to grow stronger!”
Charybdis, still with his eyes narrowed, said, “Fine.”
He shifted some blaze rods, but just as Healer was about to put the wood in, he
stopped.
“Why is there XP instead of flame?” he asked.
Charybdis thought fast, “I am a new type of blaze, we have XP instead of flame.”
Healer raised an eyebrow but said, “Ok.”
Then he put the wood away and started to put blaze powder on Charybdis’s armor,
and the blaze rods in his armor.
Charybdis asked, “Is there any way out of here?”
Healer said, “Yeah, there is a super powered slime block outside,” he pointed
outside.
“But there are monsters out now, you cant leave yet.”
Healer finished putting the blaze rods in Charybdis’s armor and stood back to look
at him.
Then he smiled, “Well, that is all I can do for now…maybe we should get some sleep.”
Charybdis grew confused, “how can you sleep?”
Healer turned and started walking towards the chests and said, “I just sleep near the
chests.”
“It is very uncomfortable, but I have got used to it.”
Healer lay down to sleep, and Charybdis went into the lava pool.
The killer: After Healer had gone to sleep; Charybdis got up out of the
lava pool and walked over to Healer’s chests.
He opened them all and looted all the blaze rods, potions of healing, potions of
regeneration, potions of strength, and the blaze powder.
He drank all the potions, fitted all the blaze rods into place, coated the armor with
blaze powder, and walked over to Healer was sleeping.
He stood over him, readied a blaze rod, and was just about to fire it when a zombie
pigman squealed.
Healer woke immediately to see Charybdis standing over him.
Healer’s face changed from confusion to fright, “Why?” he started to as
Charybdis fired.
Healer disappeared with a pop, and Charybdis ran outside.
There were zombie pigmen everywhere.
Charybdis unleashed a hail of blaze rods, killing them all instantly.
He looked up and saw a bunch of magma cubes bouncing towards him.
He sneered and unleashed another hail of blaze rods at the magma cubes, causing
them to divide over and over again, until they were all killed.
Charybdis called all the blaze rods back to him and continued to the slime block.
Before he could get to the slime block he stumbled into a zombie pigman.
He launched a blaze rod at it before the pigman knew what was happening.
As the pigman died Charybdis heard someone say “MOM!”
Charybdis turned to see a zombie pigman child running up to him screaming, “I’ll
kill you!!”
Without a second thought Charybdis killed the child, then turned to continue on
towards the slime block.
He looked over the ridge that was in front of him and saw about 30 wither skeletons
around it.
Charybdis jumped over the ridge, screaming like the devil.
All the skeletons turned and drew their swords but it was too late.
Charybdis fired blaze rod after blaze rod at them so he could get through, but more
and more just kept coming.
“We will never surrender our slime block!!!” one wither skeleton screamed.
Charybdis killed that one immediately and shot another.
Several times the wither skeletons managed to hit him, but downing all the potions
that he did, kept the effects on him much longer.
Finally Charybdis killed the last of the wither skeletons, he looked around in
exhaustion but to his surprise he saw an army of zombie pigmen approaching.
Then he turned to see another army of magma cubes coming towards him.
“That blaze killed many of our family members!!” one of the magma cubes screamed.
“Same here!!!!” the pigmen screamed.
“YOU WILL ALL DIE FOR CHALLENGING CHARYBDIS, KING OF THE BLAZES!!!!!!”
“Kill him!!” the magma cubes screamed, then they and the zombie pigmen charged.
The battle: Charybdis shot blaze rod after blaze rod at the approaching
monsters, but there were simply too many.
Flash red Charybdis felt the sword of a zombie pigman on him.
Flash red Charybdis felt the claws of a zombie pigman on him.
Flash red Charybdis felt the body of a magma cube on him.
Finally Charybdis just collapsed on the ground and let the monsters kill him.
Charybdis! A voice called out.
What? Who was that? Charybdis thought.
Charybdis! Listen to me! Use the XP! Let the monsters take it! The voice said.
What? That will kill me!
Do it! Or you are no longer my creation!
Herobrine?
Yes, it is I.
Charybdis groaned and shifted his blaze rods so that the smallest bit of XP could get
out.
A magma cube absorbed it, then the magma cube started to scream and writhe in
pain.
Suddenly…it was gone, and in its place were 3 shining balls of XP.
2-zombie pigmen and one magma cube absorbed them, and then they started to
writhe in pain.
Charybdis smiled and let most of his XP out.
Immediately all the monsters near him started to writhe in pain.
Finally all the monsters were dead and Charybdis was at the slime block, he looked
around and spotted a ledge that was right over the slime block.
Charybdis climbed the ledge, and looked down.
Just jump you fool!
Charybdis walked over to the end and jumped.
The death: As Charybdis soared through the air he thought about what
he would do once he got up there.
First I will kill all the blazes that are there, then I will travel into the Overworld and
find a zombie town, then I will travel to another server, and take over the blazes there!
And if they don’t except me, then I will kill them.
Yeah, yeah that is all good and well but how will you travel to the Overworld?
I will find a Nether portal, and use it!
So? The blazes will not let you live you killed many of them.
Arrghh! Stop contradicting me!!
I am Herobrine, your creator!
Well, now you are Herobrine, the loyal helper!
Charybdis reached the top, and landed on the ground, a heat wave was coming up
from the ground…wait there are no heat waves in minecraft!
Herobrine, is that you!?
Ha, ha, and now Charybdis, you will die!
Suddenly hundreds of fireballs came at him, Charybdis didn’t even have time to
duck.
Wham!!! Charybdis was flat on the ground as hundreds of blazes came into view.
“Ha! Ha! Ha!” one of them laughed, “you have caused us a ton of trouble pal! But now
we take care of you once and for all!” the blazes opened fire one last time.
The end: And so ends the Charybdis, king of the blazes.
Most only remember him as a blaze who killed many, and eventually was killed by
Gameknight999.
But he was more than that, much more than that.
Even though this story is fictional, (or is it?????????????????????????) this story shows
that Charybdis was a killer.
He killed many for his own selfish purposes, and did everything he could to satisfy
his master, and in the end he was killed by his master.
Charybdis was not a monster king to be proud of, and therefor I hope you find my
story according to the truth.
If you think that anything was not according to his personality, (the book version)
then please tell me in the comments and I will tell you why I put that in.
If you liked this story and want more than please tell me in the comments and who
you would like the story to be about, if they turn good or bad, and what you would
like to be in it.
