Chapter 1

It was a starry night. Miridem Air Force Base stood in the middle of a forest, everyone was getting prepared to go to the city and retake it. Gameknight lead his squad of 11 to the slime block flying vessels. Gameknight felt a sense of nervousness and fear, with a slight mixture of excitement. His group got onto the slime block machines. An operator flipped a switch and the machines began to rise. When they got high enough to almost touch the clouds, they stopped rising. “Place the torch” Gameknight said to his squad. The users and villagers placed a redstone torch on a cobblestone block and the machines began to fly forward. After going forward they stopped and flew to the left. They saw an ocean in the distance. The sun was rising behind it. “This looks really astonishing with my shaders” The user Xx_SwagDew_xX said to gameknight. “What shaders do you use?” gameknight asked. “SEUS” Swagdew replied. “It looks kind of realistic, besides the fact that all of it is blocks.”. The sun began to rise behind the ocean. “How much farther is the city?” A villager Weaponsmith asked. “Not too far from here” Gameknight told him. The sun was high in the sky now. They saw the city in the distance. “Alright, here we go. When I give the order, jump off.” Ghasts exited the city and came towards them. “Gameknight, ghasts!” Catplayz exclaimed. “Fire your bows!” Gameknight shouted. The users and villagers pulled out their bows and began to fire at the ghasts. The ghasts let out high pitched screams as they died. Three ghasts launched fireballs at the team. One missed, and the other two hit two machines. The villager and user fell off from the blast. The user immediately used his elytra to glide to the ground. The villager did not use his elytra and fell to his death. Gameknight could only watch. An arrow streaked across the sky and hit another ghast. The last ghast was also shot. The squad continued into the city. More ghasts came to attack. They were inside the city borders now. The ghasts shot down three aircraft and only two of the riders made it. Again the one that died was a villager. Gameknight realized something. The villagers couldn’t use elytra. How would they get off? Gameknight, being distracted was hit by a fireball. He fell to the surface of the city. Realizing that he fell, he used his elytra to safely land on the surface.

Suddenly, he saw a massive blue object in the sky. He looked closer at it and realized that it was moving! It looked like a giant spacecraft. It stopped moving and a hole opened up in the center of the craft. A red beacon shone into the hole. He looked towards the beacon of light and what he saw shocked him. It wasn’t a beacon from the surface, it was a laser coming from the ship. Whatever the beam touched was destroyed. The craft began to move again. The laser made a trail of destruction in the street. How did the monsters create this? Gameknight thought. He looked again at the craft and saw ghasts approaching the ship. They shot fireballs at it. Gameknight was confused. The ship appeared to shoot smaller versions of the laser at the ghasts. Once it touched the ghasts they instantly died, dropping gunpowder and ghast tears. Gameknight was separated from the rest of his squad. He didn’t know where they were. Gameknight looked in the direction that the squad was supposed to go and began to walk towards it.
