The Secret Magic: The Essence Swapper
Chapter 1
“Yes it is”! “No its not”! “Yes to”! “Ask Mr. Alick then”. The two students went to their teacher. “Mr.Alick is magic real”, one student asked. Mr.Alick smiled “Well of course it is.” The other student got angry “Oh ya then tell us a story about it”! Mr.Alick’s smile got bigger “Gladly”. All the way back in medieval times there was a group of magicians that would secretly protect the world. One day a new group formed who used magic but it was for the wrong purpose they wanted to switch peoples essence with animals and only one thing could turn them back, the wand of light. They went on a journey to find it and when they did they cured everyone and used it on the essence swappers to defeat all of them, except one. “Was that the story?” asked one student. Mr. Alick’s smile went down a bit “No that’s just the beginning”.
Chapter 2
There was a boy named Jack whose father was in the magicians group and that was the day that Jack would get his magic. And the day His best friend May would get her magic. They would get it at midnight. Jack got up at six in the morning and went for a walk. He went to the tree he would climb as a kid he climbed up and sat on a branch. He looked at the sunrise, it was beautiful. He felt a hand on his shoulder, it was May. “You’re up early,” Jack said to her. She looked at him, “What’s your excuse?” They both laughed. Jack looked back at the sunrise “ I can’t wait for us to get our magic.” They stayed there for about an hour then decided to go on a walk together but when they got down a dog came whimpering to them. May was the first to talk “Let’s follow it.” They followed it for about five minutes until they heard walking and the dog went and laid down in a bush. Jack and May followed it. A ginormous man walked next to a house and they heard a scream then a cat ran out. Jack gasped “It’s the last essence swapper.” There was long silence until May leaned in to whisper to Jack “We need to go tell my dad.” May’s dad was in charge of the magicians. They ran as fast as they could to May’s house. They quickly got in and informed him about the essence swapper and he telepathically informed the magicians to hide in their house. Jack, May, and May’s father went to May’s basement and hid in barrels. They heard a door open and knew exactly who it was.
Chapter 3
Jack heard the essence swapper coming down the stairs. “I know you’re here, magicians,” he started looking around. “I returned stronger than before.” He held up a golden ring with a red gem on it. Jack could hear May’s father’s breath get louder and louder. Suddenly the essence swapper ran up to May’s dad and lifted him up into the air. There was a crackling noise then some red smoke and on the ground was a horse. The essence swapper was looking around for Jack and May. He grabbed berals one by one until he found them. He picked them up and all faded to black

Jack felt weird when he woke up. He was in a carriage with a deer, and a horse. It took him a minute to realise he had paws and the deer was May. He tried to talk to them but all that came out were barks. He was in there thinking of how to escape for about ten minutes until he realised his cage was unlocked he pushed out and undid the locks on the others. They ran out and followed Jack to his house. When Jack got there he found all the magicians in his house. They all seemed to know what was happening. Jack’s dad was first to talk, “I’ll be the one to swap them back. They all nodded in agreement. He cut his hand with a knife, held it out and let a drop of blood fall on each of them. Then there was blue smoke and Jack, May, and May’s dad were back to normal. Where Jack’s dad used to be was an owl. Jack realised what happened and started to get tears in his eyes. There was a long silence until May’s dad said “I heard him say he was going after the wand of light and well he already has the ring of power. So we need to send people for it tonight so we should have …” He got cut off by Jack and May at the same time “I want to go after I get my magic” they both said fast. “I guess that makes sense but you’re not going alone, I’m sending you with Ron.” A tall figure walked out from the big crowd and shook Jack’s hand. May’s father continued “Well what are you guys waiting for let’s go get you your magic”.
