GiantClans
Here is a list of some of the GiantClans on Phoenix. It’s not all, or there are many more. These are just the ones I could fit on the page. You’ll be seeing more about the GiantClans in my books about the Giants of Phoenix. I’m not sure which is my favorite, but I’m leaning toward FireOpal, just because the stone is so cool as is the Kordoit stone. Search for those online and you’ll see some incredible Kordoit stones!
Be sure to watch for Theft of the Giants’ Soul, my next book. I’ll be posting individual chapters for FREE on my website. Sign up for the mailing list to get access.

The AmberQuartzClan is filled with thinkers, which is the case with most Quartz-type clans, but the amber color denotes giants who are optimistic and see great hope in the future of the GiantNation. Many criticize the giants of this clan, because they cannot anticipate what those with evil designs might do. AmberQuartzGiants accept this criticism, for the intellectual side of them must accept it as possible, but the optimistic side sees this as one of their strengths.
The AmethystClan is where many leaders of the GiantNation come from. Giants of this clan are strong and confident, and not afraid of challenges, but the quartz-like nature of their clan’s stone suggests they are also intellectuals. It is something the rest of the clans have come to accept, for many of the greatest leaders in GiantHistory have come from Amethyst.
The BirdsEyeRhyoliteClan are a unique collection of giants. They are an optimistic group, as the yellow in their stone would suggest, but the white in their stone suggests they are also the seekers of truth. BlackTourmaline giants tend to be very secretive. They are light on their feet, which is unusual for giants, and are able to move quietly when necessary. Giants of the BlueGreenOnyx clan are healers. They will interact with dryads, who make fantastic potions, and will use those potions or healing devices crafted by humans if it will help ease someone’s suffering. Giants from the Emerald clan are the most skilled of healers. These giants take on the most difficult of medical cases, and seem to have a deep understand of the giant body. It is almost as if an Emerald giant can see inside the body of their patient, whether it is a giant, or human, or dryad. If you’re wounded in battle, you want an Emerald giant treating your wounds.
Giants of the FireOpal clan tend to be part of the leadership of the GiantNation. They are the bringers of unusual, bright ideas that seem to come out of nowhere, but they are also extremely aggressive. Members of the Lepidolite GiantClan have a strong sense of duty to StoneHold and to Phoenix. Many Lepidolite giants serve in the GiantLegion, dedicating their lives to the protection of the GiantNation and the inhabitants of StoneHold. They never surrender and will fight to the last even if completely outnumbered. Though they aren’t the smartest of giants, they are the loyal to a fault and know how to follow orders.
Giants in the ObsidianClan are the judges. They decide who is following The Way and who has forgotten the names of their fathers. They are historians, knowing what has happened in the GiantNation through time, so that they may learn the lessons of the past and avoid past mistakes in their roles as judges. Everyone respects a giant of the ObsidianClan
Giants from the Opal Clan are a mixture of personalities. They are at times very aggressive while at other times conservative. At one moment, they might be seekers of knowledge, while at the next, they ignore lessons from the past and just charge ahead, choosing their own path. Their stone is filled with many colors as they themselves are filled with many different personality traits. It is very hard to predict what an OpalGiant will do.
PurpleOnyx giants have two types of personalities. The Purple in their stone suggests they are strong and confident, never afraid of a fight, but the Onyx in their stone indicates they are very sneaky and secretive. PurpleOnyx giants might gather in secret to share knowledge about giants in other clans, using this knowledge to the advantage of their own clan. They are strongly dedicated to the GiantNation, but a PurpleOnyx giant always comes first in their eyes.
Giants in the QuartzClan are the philosophers. They seek knowledge, but not from books, from within. Though they are strong fighters, as all giants must be, QuartzClan giants are also thinkers. Many work as teachers of adults as well as youths.
Giants in the RedJasper Clan are excellent fighters, but very strategic. They are excellent planners and know when it is best to fight and best to retreat, but are very conservative. SnowflakeObsidian giants a combinations of opposites. They are highly aggressive when it comes to battle, but are also conservative when it comes to deciding whether to fight or now. They are mighty fighters and always fight on the side of truth and justice.
Giants in the TreeAgate Clan are brave and curious. They seek knowledge when they can and even venture into dangerous parts of Phoenix to find that knowledge, unafraid, for they never show fear.
